Okay, so.
I've been a pack a day smoker for about a year, now. Before that, a pack of analogs could last me from 2 - 4 days. I recently picked up a starter kit from a smoke shop [I had ordered one of those insanely-expensive Blu starter kits about two years back and I utterly despised it], deciding to try it out without breaking the bank.

I ended up just getting a simple VapCig, with high-nic menthol cartomizers. I've honestly no idea if they're PV or VG.

I'm on day three now, and today and yesterday, I've had a sort of..burned tongue feeling, like you'd get when drinking coffee that's too hot. It's only right on the tip, and I'm not sure if that's because I got that delightful spray of fluid or if it's just from not vaping for two years. I also have a dry mouth and sore throat, though pushing fluids constantly seems to remedy that.

Any suggestions? Did anyone else have this, and if so, when will it go away?

Thanks in advance!

Also. Is there any flavor out there that even remotely resembles that harsh-amazingness of Newports? Hahhaha.
Thanks in advance!

Hi, i've only been vaping for a couple of weeks now so i probably know nothing but this did happen to me for a couple of days when i upgraded my nictotine strength then it calmed down.

Hopefully it will be the same for you as vaping has stopped a 25 yr analogue habit which has been great for mind, body and purse :)

Oh, congrats!
Stick to it -- I plan to be analog-free within six months at most. It's good to know this has happened to someone else as well; while I figured it was just because my body was like "WHOA, WHERE ARE THE NEWPORTS, FOOOOL?!" it's still comforting to know that this goes away.

Stay strong!

If you can get some juices you like and a setup that feels good honestly it won't take you six months. I didn't actually plan to stop i just thought 'oh that looks fun' and i do love a gadget ;)

I went from 2 packs a day to none the following day with not too much problem at all, i definitely think having the higher 24mg juice helped with the cravings and the standard 510 batteries which are lame and need charging a few times a day were light enough to dealt with all the hand to mouth actions. i even have some analogues sitting in the cupboard beside my desk and i feel absolutely no urge to go near them, i prefer the taste of vaping :)

Congratulations on quitting cigs! :toast: A sore mouth is a common side-effect of getting off of analogs. Your body is dealing with a lot of changes, and it's trying to get rid of all the harmful chemicals from the tobacco you were using. I've heard it can last up to six months. That said, vaping does dehydrate you so hydrate, hydrate, hydrate! Pushing fluids is a great idea because it helps your body detoxify itself as well. If that doesn't work, try to find out what PG/VG ratio is in your liquid. You may be allergic or sensitive to one or the other. Lots of e-liquid vendors can modify the ratios for you if that's what it takes. Just remember, don't give up - keep on vaping!

I had the same thing and I fixed it by buying some VG at wal mart and cutting my juice down a bt then slowly over a week or so I brought it back up to 24mg again. It was like it was just to strong at 1st but bringing it up slowly helped a lot. I posted about the sore mouth/throat but it wasn't the first answer I was given to the problem. Good luck and lots of water
