.....and new to the forums! My head has nearly exploded with all the vaping info available here. Its mind boggling that even though e-cigs is in its infancy, its incredibly complex; from vendors to models to juice to....
....you get the point.
I've only been vaping for about 3 weeks, and here is a quick run-down on the beginnings of my vaping experience:
I had heard a few mumblings about e-cigs here and there, but chalked it up to being some kind of gimmick and never payed it much mind. On one of the websites I frequent had an ad for Blu, so I clicked out of curiosity. I was impressed with what I saw and followed with some more research. I quickly came to two conclusions:
1. The initial investment to get started was very minor in regards to the big picture
2. It seemed that no matter what model I purchased, if vaping worked for me, it wasn't likely to be my last.
So, I pulled the trigger and bought a Blu. As I waited for it to arrive, I continued to do research on Blu and vaping in general. The more I read, the more I began to regret choosing Blu first. But, I decided to wait and test it out myself before jumping to any conclusions. After a week, my Blu arrived and I quickly unwrapped it and began puffing away. The first thing I noticed is how much this thing emulated a real cigarette! The drag, the throat hit, the taste, everything! I was extremely impressed.....for about a day.
Over the next few days, I became frustrated with the inconsistency of the Blu and the rate at which I was burning through these carts. On again, off again vapor and throat hit, finicky cartridges with lack luster performance. Everything I appreciated about vaping was very short lived. After a bit more research, I found that the 510 Cartos would work on the Blu, and from all the reviews I had seen lately, they sounded fantastic. I ordered a pack of the Soft Cap 510 Cartos, a few bottles of juice from a well known vendor and was going to give that a go.
O..M...G...! (/queue music) "A whole new world...a new fantastic point of view!" What a kick in the pants! The vapor, the flavor, the consistency, the cost effectiveness and the ease of use; all top notch. THIS is what all the fuss was about. THIS is what I wanted. Best of all, it fit well in my Blu PCC, which is by far and away the best part of Blu. I'm a complete noob, but after messing with cartridges and atomizers, I can't for the life of me find one reason not to use cartomizers in ANY set up. I will likely pick up another PV eventually, but for now, my cloud-generating Frankenstein of a Blu suites me just fine. However, I won't be recommending a Blu to anyone else unless they are willing mod the pants off it.
Now, time to get the rest of the family off the analogs.
Happy Vaping!
