So I just started vaping (my Nonsmoking husband begged me to purchase a Blu, after one of his friends got one)
So I bought a Blu...I should have done some more research Prior to purchasing. (get the feeling that Happens a lot hu)

My Q is...Is there another "system" out there similar to Blu with it's Size and the portable pack charger.(cool Blue LED a perk) B/C I Love that Part of Blu
But with either refillable cartridges/ a two pieces instead of three piece.(was told the Two was better?)

OR different cartridges that will fit the Blu batteries?

What I dislike is the Blu cartridges the flavors(Blah! though I just read that they are teaming up with Johnson creek so hopefully that will get better) and how they dont last for very long, suppose to be seven cigs worth..seems more like two.

I've been cheating, but I'm not sure it's the best solution.

Untamed Rose - I am new to this as well and new to this forum. Have been vaping now for two months, loving it and been totally tobacco free! I use two piece models, autos
one from SmokeTip and the other from PremiumEcigarettes. I'd recommed the PremiumEcig model PR111 - very good vapor and batteries last. I get all my cartridges from SmokeTip because of the price (a tenpack for $19.95 or three or more tenpacks for $17.95 each, Free Shipping) and their cartridges last as long as a pack of cigarettes for me and I was a havy smoker. Just my opinion but it is worth looking at. Hope this helps
and welcome!!

Big questions lots of possible answers - I'll recommend a 510 soley because I think its a decent kit, pretty cheap, not a huge learning curve, lots of mods available for it should you decide to go that route, can be adapted to fit other model atomizers with a battery adapter.
Have you had a look at the ECF Library page - specifically Don Daboomvape's guide to ECigs? That may help you with some of your questions at least to start with.

Small portable charging case and reliable service would mean for me the value4life vapor king. I have this kit and it is great. 2 piece unit with lots of flavor choices for the carts or refill them yourself.
This one is my on the go kit. For home I have ordered a 510 just to see how it goes.
I had a blu and sent it back. tiny carts that hold nothing and the battery life is a joke.

Look at the Modern Vapor Sidesho. I love mine (plural, lots of plural). You can get the prefilled or fill your own carts. He doesn't have a lot of prefilled flavors, but the just posted that he's getting a lot of requests so he's adding more. It's a three piece system, but very easy to take care of with an exposed atty if you want to drip. And I believe its the same size.

I would totally recommend an M402 in the smart PCC. It is very similar to the Blu in terms of looks, convenience and size, but miles above in performance. But then again, I've never tried the Blu. What I can tell you is that I have a 510, an eGo, a KR-808, and the M40x series, and the M402 is still in regular rotation. It has great flavour and great vapour, I just find the carts a bit finicky. If you're looking for the Blu but better, it would be a good choice.

Almost all of them have a PCC available now.

Depends on who you ask.

If you might like futzing around with it then a 3-piece is better.
If you want to mess with as little as possible then maybe you should get a 2-piece.

I THINK the 510s fit the Blu batteries, but not sure.
And if so, the 510s have cartomizers now, but they are very small as well.

You can refill any cartridges or catromizers with your own liquids.

And you most definitely should be doing that.
We pretty much all do that.

Also, I suggest taking a quick read through the thread linked in my signature below.

DC2...I am filling them myself however the cartridge is so small talking two-three drops kinda thing. And it's bad about leaking....or this might very possibly be newbie doesnt know what she's doing talk.

Thank you all :) for the advise and the links, been very helpful...I've just finished an order for a 510.
DC2 kinda funny your link "you will stop caring how much it looks like a cigarette" Way to true...went from a white cig like Blu to a metallic Green Joye.

one last Q...
I'm still in the 30 day return time period for the Blu, and I was planning on returning it.
But I cant help but notice many of you have several models, do you recommend holding on to it as a back up...or getting something totally different later on?

First of all, congrats on the 510 purchase, it will definitely do the trick ;)

I'd suggest returning that blu. Given I haven't had one, I feel it's unanimous around here that it simply... isn't great. The money you save from the blu junk you can put towards more 510 supplies and liquids :)

You put as much juice in as the filler material in the cartridge will hold without pooling at the top of the filler material. If it pools at the top, just dab it with a paper towel or tissue.

The problem is, if you are just putting drops right on top of the filler material that comes with the cartridge, it isn't going to sink to the bottom without a little help. You can use the straw modification, or you can use a toothpick or paper clip to push the filler aside a little bit so that it can breath while you are putting in the drops. Some people use a syringe or a needle tipped dropper bottle to get all the way down to the bottom of the cartridge.

And I have found that if you replace the stock filler material with blue foam, you can actually put the drops right in if you tilt the cartridge to the side while doing so, but that is probably a bit more than you want to bite off and chew right now.

I think the majority opinion would be to return it.

Yes. Blu and Volcano bits and parts are completely interchangeable with 510's. I have a few volcanos, friends of mine have blus, and I also have a 510. All parts changed around to fit everything else, and my friends did comment that a 510 batt on a blu atty/cart changed the draw and hit significantly for the better.

I'd keep the Blu bits, buy a 510 kit, reserve the blu bats as a backup, and just bounce between atty's depending on the type of hit/flavor you're chasing at any given moment. (which is pretty much what I'm doing, just with the Volcs)

Lots of things to choose from. I have only tried the two most popular models the 510 and the kr-808. I prefer the 510 but the battery life isn't very good but it still gets the job done. If money is not a problem then I would go with a better battery probably the ego or Tornado. Or an even bigger one. The 808 is a two peice that is supposed to be much more convienent but really it seems like it's only that much more conveinent if you are going to be buying new carts all the time and that gets expensive. The flavor on the 808 is nice but I get more of a hit with the 510.

I also have the 510, but I did end up purchasing an adapter from Altsmoke so I could try carto's with my 510 batt's. I don't seem to like the carto's as much as the 510 carts with the atomizer. Though I do agree with Brad, the regular batteries don't last that long. I've been using my for a little over a month now, and the batteres don't last the whole day. I have 2 in rotation so when 1 dies I have one ready to go. I just received an order from HealthCabin with some mega batts, & I'm hoping these will last longer. Godd luck & Happy Vaping.
