you may not need the o-ring. if your airhole is pointing down (which will depend on the way you hold it when you vape) then the o-ring allows you to position the airhole either up or to the side.

also, if you experience any leaking, the o-ring will help. i use 6 Reos daily, and only 1 needs the o-ring.

It goes in the catch cup, so when you screw on the RM2 it is between the REO and the atty.

CONGRATS on the new REO!!! We love pictures....

So that just goes around the 510 connection in the catch cup? I put it between the top cap and build deck of the rm2 to make sure the air hole lines up with the coil.

I, the complete Reo noob, say yes.

My airhole lines up with the coil perfectly without it. That, dear boy, is attention to detail.

Not what that included oring was intended for but doesn't hurt. That oring goes in the catch cup to provide a bit of resistance for screwing on the atty & position the air hole. Rob now offers thicker orings if needed. Usually the cap doesn't need an oring cause each one is drilled for the air hole to line up between the posts anyway.

I remembered reading something somewhere on here about someone using it to position the top cap - may have been in one of the advanced modding threads though where several other variables made that necessary...

Does help snug things up between the reo and rm2 - though I will probably try a larger o-ring tomorrow. Thanks folks.

Yup, I don't use RM2s on my Reos but as far as orings it's not any different.....I also like to use a thicker oring but that's cause I like my atties screwed on tight with no chance of accidental movement.

I've seen SXD post about using that oring between the cap & base to align the air hole if it was off. The RM2s I have received had the air holes lined up perfectly.

On the RM2s I set up for my buddies, I also use an oring between the cap & base but I use it for sealing. I machined an oring groove in the cap. So when the cap is screwed on, the oring is hidden, no leaks.

Yep, you won't need an oring between the base and top cap unless the airhole isn't where you want it when you screw the top cap on. I've only had one RM2 that that was the case. All the others line up perfectly.

Putting an oring in the well is also user preference. I do cause I don't like any juice in the well :)
