before purchasing my first reo last week I remember hearing about the o-ring under the rm2 atty, it had stated that this o-ring was really only for getting the correct orientation for the air hole. so when I was ready to vape, my specific orientation really didn't require this o-ring so I didn't use it. I tend to vape the reo from the edge with the door facing 90 degrees away from me, so I located the air hole opposite of this. this placement made the rm2 fairly snug, so I just felt like the o-ring was unnecessary. well today I tried to vape the reo in a different way, vaping it from the side with the door facing me, this required the rm2 to be in a different position which did require the o-ring. for some reason I feel like the o-ring makes for a better vape, it seems like it hits a little harder. anyways im keeping it in. have any felt the same? like because there is a better seal the rm2 performs better? or is it in my head? or maybe I never had it as tight as it should have been initially? I mean it was definatley snug before but not really tight, anyways now its tight and its seems to be working better. thanks

It could have to do with where you coil is located and juice either pooling by it or not. I vape with Reo horizontal with button down and coil/airhole up. I squonk at an angle too so it sucks some air on the release before it sucks all the juice away. I like to leave some juice in the atty so I'm not squonking all the time.

I run a thicker oring in the catchcup. It allows me to tighten the atomizer base so the hole is on the opposite side from the button. When I vape my thumb is on the button and its pointing down, the hole is pointing up ( kinda like how a kid sucks his thumb).

I was also getting some juice in the catch cup before I used the thicker oring. The most important factor of using the thick oring is that you have to stretch it out a little so it is completely outside 510 connection or it'll still get juice in the catch cup.

I'm constantly losing o-rings down the drain. I hate when that happens.

The o ring will decrease some air flow giving more throat hit . I notice if I am using my rba on my woodvil has the same effect

maybe that was the issue. when I first received the reo I found that the draw was slightly tight so I opened it up, but now it seemed slightly airy. this airiness made the vape seem empty and although I was getting lots of vapor I wasn't feeling this vapor. anyways since using the oring it is just perfect, and as it turns out the bored hole is helping with my 0.6Ω set-up. so now I couldn't be happier, best vape ever with these micro coils.

I didn't know this, it could explain my TH being weaker. I mean a couple of times it has flooded. So this O ring goes around the RM2 base or in the well? And Super X, you said you use a thicker O ring. Does this mean you don't use the one that comes with it?

I use one of the Orings from a REO grand bottle cap under all RBAs. I learned this from Rob. It allows me to tighten the atty as much as I need to (to position the airhole where i want it) without worry of crushing the gasket in the 510. My attys are screwed on pretty tight because of this. The base is a b itch to get off, but I like maintaining my "thumb suck" fire/vape position.

It also eliminates any juice in the catch cup.

I could not achieve this with the oring that comes with the RM2s.

I recently added an oring that Rob sends with the RM2 to conceal the brass on my grand. It does look that much grander :)

So Super X, the O ring goes under the RBA or between the RBA and the unit? If I use the O ring from the bottle, can the bottle still be used? I need to know because I'm doing some ordering tonight!

I put the oring in the drip well before you screw on the RBA. NO YOU NEED IT IN THE BOTTLE cap. I have extras bottle caps that I cribbed from :). You can order them from Rob.

Stretch it out good first by pulling on it.

Both. The one in the dripwell is for orienting the coil/air hole, the one between RBA and unit is for hiding the gap and brass from turning it down to fit dripwell.
