Hi, my name is Pete and I'm a nicotine addict.....oh wait wrong place for that
I've been smoking since I was 19 when I picked up this nasty habit from the Navy. I'm now 38 and got sick and tired of being sick and tired so I have been trying ways to quit. I tried zyban from pressure from my ex wife but I had the most horrific lucid nightmares in my life, so quit that pretty fast. I tried the patches but I'm allergic to the adhesive so that was a no go. I tried the gum, but hated the taste and sensation. I relegated myself to being a lifetime smoker until my interest had been piqued by an e-cig vendor in a local mall. The sales pitched jived with my current understand, but the prices he quoted were absolutely absurd. I could hardly contain myself from laughing in his face. I ventured on to innernetz and ran across this fine place. There is so much information it was difficult to digest at first, but after a month of lurking I had gleaned enough information to finally break down and start my e-cig adventure. I went a bit hog wild with my first orders, just trying to see what I like and what fits my smoking style. I spent about 2 months worth of cartons in 1 shot, but if I can kick the analog habit it will be well worth it.
I'm now 2 weeks of vaping and 1 week without an analog and going strong. The first week I was having trouble in the mornings as I was previously an odd smoker. I smoked 1 single M'boro Red in the morning to get me jump started, usually "golds" during the day, the switched to "silvers" after dinner usually averaging a pack and a half a day. Last week I finally found a juice that gave me the sensation I was looking for first thing in the morning and haven't weakened since. I was start off with a TW 36mg cola, 18mg mixed blend during the day(can't remember where it's from lol), and finishing my days with a super light 8-11mg something fruity or sweet(apple is by far my fav so far, I've tried 4 different chocolates and they all taste like crapolate). This week I've started coughing pretty harshly, but since I already read many accounts of this being part of the recovery process it didn't catch me off guard at all.
I just wanted to say thanks again to this forum as a whole.
