Im new to vapeing obviously. I just ordered a Riva 510, i have a BLU, but...yeah it just made me mad enough to go smoke a real cig.

I am trying to quit smokeing for my little girl, and my own health.

I had one question that im not quite clear on, is there an advantage to useing a cartomizer on the 510? id really like something on the easy side. I dont have much time during the day to myself with a 4 month old. I usually do everything i need to do after shes gone to bed for the night, and then pass out myself lol.

Hi LGiv and welcome to the forum. Cartomizers (cartos) hold more juice than cartridges (Carts) therefore need refilling less often. You can fill a bunch of cartos up at night and you'll be ready for the next day. I find that getting sticky dots and placing them on the cartos helps me identify the flavor of juice I have in each carto. Sometimes I'll write initials on the dots like CC for cotton candy. Just my two cents.

Hi lgiv- welcome to the forum. Welcome too to vaping.

Cartomisers, as the previous poster said, can be filled with more liquid normally. And so should last you longer. They're generally easier to deal with. No taking apart. No taking our fluff and refilling. You can just refill them and screw them back on and away you go again.
Good for you for getting off analogs for yourself and your little girl.

i'm a noobie as well...except i ordered the 510 tank..anything quick and easy is great...the tanks are nice because five minutes and i've got everything filled and ready to go to last me the whole day!..i've heard the cartomizers are great for that but i haven't tried any yet :/

lgiv - yeah boge are constantly being recommended by people on here. I'm going to order some myself. You get 5 for $10 at liberty flights. Each one will last you a few weeks, normally, sometimes longer.

Quick question, Del Boy - looking at Liberty Flights now. The Boge 510 2.0 Ohm cartos look compatible with the eGo. I've got the eGo-T, but the battery should be the same. Those should work fine?

Threeputt - yes. The 2.0 will be a stronger 'hit'. I'm pretty sure they do a 2.5 and a 3.0 ohm which will be less strong. They will fit your ego-t. It's a good idea to have some as back up in case your tank system starts to give a problem. Or nice for an occassional change.

I know with the blu i had to constantly vape to get what i needed, and that is probably what was killing the batteries. They were low strength cartomizers, im not sure how mich nic was in them, im wondering if i should try a higher strength? i ordered some 14mg and 8mg to try.

How much did you smoke, hon? I was a 1.5 pack Marlboro Light kind of gal, and started out comfortably at 18mg/ml with a batch of 24mg/ml hanging around for the desperate times. It varies per person and with mileage. Experiment and enjoy!

In regards to the Cartos, Yes on the Boge, but for me on the ego/riva the 2.0 is a bit rough on the throat. I'd start with the 3.0's and work down if you need more throat action.

One more question, are there prefilled 510 cartomizers i can use? To buy just in case i dont get the time during the day to fill mine. (which is highly unlikely, but i want to be prepared.) I saw some on liquidexpress.com They will work as long as its for a 510 right?

Sorry LG i only just noticed your post. Yes you can get prefilled cartos they last me about 8 hours (i'm probably a medium vaper).
Probably best to get prefilled so you can use them straight off. They are easy to fill though. Use the condom method (sounds rude but its actually the clear rubber enc cap that you half fill with juice and just lightly push your carto down into the juice which then goes in through the little hole that you vape through. Best to leave it an hour to soak right in to the stuffing. Sounds tricky but it's not and you will quickly get good at it...lol

510..yes. It's important that what you get for your e cig fits your 510

You can get a small 510 to 808 adapter that will let you use the 808 prefilled cartos. I don't know anyone who "rolls" that way, but it's doable. You get so much more juice options if you fill them yourself, however.
