I just went to the vapor4life store in northbrook to check the place out, was going to buy one of their e-cig starter kits when one of the friendly people who work there (maybe the owner) suggested the ego model. the kit he showed me was a little out of my price range so he made me a kit that matched what i wanted to spend. basically just took out one battery. filled the tank and gave me a small bottle of juice to get started. only question is where can i find an instruction manual for it so i know how to maintain it or whatever?
also what do people think of vapor 4 life products?.

Glad you went to vapor4life!! They are a great company, for products AND service. They have a subforum here on ECF too if you want to check it out. Most e-cig stuff doesn't come with a manual but here on ECF you can learn a LOT and also by going to youtube and searching videos. I think somewhere on vapor4life's site too there are links to instructional videos.

If you want to search something here on the forum, since there is a LOT of information here, the search option doesn't always work that great but I find going to google and typing in your search words along with "e-cigarette forum" helps you find the treads you need.

Vapor4life is NOT one of those jacked up mall kiosks that sells e-cig kits for 200 or 300 dollars and small bottles of juice for $20 lol. ^

Yeah it would have been better if you had the money to get more than one battery, when you do have more money you will need to buy back-ups, for when you are charging other batts and otherwise.

What you bought is a good starter device. That's what helped me quit smoking. You'll be much happier with that than what you originally intended to get I'm sure.

As said before, you'll be hard pressed to find a manual. I've subscribed to this thread and check in on the forums fairly frequently and will happily try to help you with answers as much as I can. It's a very simple device to use and maintain.

Also as said before, get a second battery as soon as you can. If there's one thing you need when vaping to stay away from cigarettes it's backups for everything. Depending on how much you used to smoke, you'll probably find that after your startup costs you'll be saving quite a bit of money. Well, as long as you don't do like a lot of us and start out on the unending quest for the next great thing!

If that one battery kit ran you more than about $35, he didn't do you any favors. Two batteries are crucial for any new vaper. Taking one battery out is like a car dealer taking the tires off a car so you can afford it. I'd rather give you a battery for free than sell you a kit with one battery. I'd rather send you off to by a Mistic until you save up the money for two batteries. That's ridiculous and irresponsible unless you only smoke about 5 cigs a day.

Whatever I thought of Vapor4Life before, I think less of them now.

I agree. If I were the vendor I would've just given the extra batt for free BUT...the OP seems to have $$ to spend...

I had exactly the same thoughts as Sailorman but I don't have the post count or reputation of some of the posters in this thread so I self-moderated the reply I posted. I went to the website and looked at their kits & prices and just shook my head. I got roped by V2, yes it worked, but it was way overpriced for what I got...

iy cost $ 25.00 came with battery, charger, tank, cartomiser, 20 ml bottle of juice and case.
\my 21 century smoking kit cost 60... so this was a much better price

I was able to get a starter kit for 25 dollars. So I bought 2 so I would have a unit to use when charging the other.
That way, I will not be without one when the urges come. As it can take a few hours for some of these batteries to fully charge It is good to have a backup and I felt good because I did not spend a lot of money. It may not be the most sophisticated or updated or best version but for the past few weeks, been very happy with it as newbie.

LOL we were just concerned about you only having 1 battery. It's all good then and it's keeping you off the analogs and that's what really counts.
Happy Vaping.
