JUUL's attitude towards FDA prohibitionist actions is one of acceptance and complicity. They know that they are, perhaps, the only vaping company (not tobacco) with the resources to process a PMTA, they are also in favor of the prohibition of flavors.

What should consumers do about it?

Should the vaping community stop acquiring JUUL products?

That "vaping community" is not Juul's market to begin with. The vaping community pre-dates Juul's existence and has never really accepted Juul.

If the market were to remain free, I imagine many Juul users would eventually transition to open systems, if for no other reason than cost. Juul pods are stupid expensive compared to traditional vaping. Almost every commercial liquid retails for under $1.00 per ml (and most cost half or less than that) while a Juul pod that contains 0.7 ml of liquid retails for $4.00 (or more, depending on where you buy it). Obviously Juul would like to prevent that transition.

Juul is going to pursue whatever avenue is likely to succeed that keeps their doors open. That evidently entails making many concessions. As a community we've always rejected them, and they never made an effort to join the vaping community. Because they're the Apple of vaping and they suffer from Not Invented Here Syndrome (NIHS). I don't know why you would infer that they owe it to the community to fight the good fight just because the opportunity was thrust upon them. That's what CASAA is supposed to be for. Sign up and write your legislative representatives.
