Hello, all!

I just ordered a very cute pattern from Jwraps. I got a steal of a deal on a neon yellow Reo, and yellow really isn't my color. The Jwrap is pretty cute (in my opinion) and you can see it here: Pink Paws.

It's an original Reo, not LP. Are the wraps pretty easy to do? I've never wallpapered, so I'm a little nervous. ;) Do any pro's have any tips on how to wrap this baby when the wrap gets here?

Thanks for any advice!
Dani

Have never put one on a Reo, although I have considered putting one a my Mini 2.1 CV that was mostly dark patina when I bought it used. Have not with no idea how well it would go over a textured finish though. But I did put one on a brand new full size ProVari 2.5 Polished I got tired of all the fingerprints on. Probably easier to install on the tube mod(?), but I still got it a little crooked. It was easy to pull it back off for a second try, and got it right that time. Hopefully that would be the case on a Reo as well.

They can be pulled off and re-positioned anytime you feel the need to do so. I have been using JWraps on my grands for some time now. They are not made to cover every square inch of the device either. This is because the grand has curved edges and the wraps wouldn't lay properly on them and from use they would peel away. This also goes for the door as well because of it being slid on and off and you wouldn't want to catch the wrap in the slide channel. It could also get stuck...

Are your wraps custom (I believe at least one of them is)? How was that process? Cost? Quality? Hassle?

Yeah, one of mine was custom. It actually was the same lead time and shipping as soon as I approved the print. The Custom cost is $22.50 and I actually received 2 wraps for that price. Here's a pic or two...

Dani, before you start wrapping:

When you give your Reo a bath, use mild dish soap and rinse well to make sure you do not have residue. They recommend rubbing alcohol, but soap will get the most of it first.

If the wrap and the mod are warm before you start, the wrapping will go easier. I know your hands are shaky so this is a task that you can take as much time doing as you need.

Just an added note from experience, I wouldn't even bother with the "bottom" piece, it covers the spring retainer screw, and no one sees the bottom much anyway. I put it on when I did a JWrap, but wound up taking it back off to upgrade the contacts and just left it off.

And if it's any help, I was nervous to do mine, too, but it came out GREAT!

You could also use an exacto knife and cut out a circle so you can get to the screw. This way you would never have to remove the wrap...
