Starting a thread on this.

This device just came out and it took me a while to find a video review on it. Not much out there for information or reviews yet. I think I like it and may be ordering it. Not specifically from the reviewer below though.

Thanks for posting the link for the video. I was interested in it until I read this review: http://www.vapesquad.com/review-the-kamry-k200/

The fact that VW increments only in 1-watt steps, and the fact that you can only go one way in wattage (e.g., the wattage button increases it, so if you want to go from 10w to 9, you have to round robin through the whole range) made it much less appealing.

Interesting looks, however, and I do like that it has a spring loaded post.

Exhale Vapors has them for $39.99 w/ coupon code VaporJoes11Percent. Pre-order, as I recall.

Yeah saw those reviews.. I don't think I would ever need Lower than 3.7 myself. I can always build a different ohm coil if I needed Less Heat. So it's Not an issue for me. The price is cheap and The look is nice. I just don't like the vamo, its Too long I think.

It took me 2 days to find that video, it was buried in the web for Some Reason. Very hard to find; so I wanted to post it up so it would be Easier for People interested to find

Confused by this post....what does the k200 have to do with the VAMO? This mod looks to be a clone of the tesla, not the VAMO.

Because I'm look at getting a new vv apv and the vamo seems to be the low price Benchmark; but I don't care for the look or the top heavy tipsyness of it due to being long and Skinny. I'm interested in purchasing this k200 over the Vamo; For my own reasons.. It's shorter, wider, and I personally like the look. I do like the tesla obviously. Last i checked they are direct competitors in the same Market segment.

I don't think anyone has one of these yet; but vendors.
At this point.

There are a few floating around. I've got one, obviously, because I wrote a review on it, but a bunch of other people got 'em the same time I did.

It's actually only slightly shorter than a Vamo with an 18650 in it... maybe a quarter inch or so, but it is definitely a bit wider, so it doesn't look quite so much like a nightstick. I know some people also find the Vamo to be a bit slippery, and the K200's definitely easy to hang onto. I've been fairly happy with mine, but I never vape below 3.7 volts, and can't say I've found the 1-watt increment in VW mode to be a major issue.

Wrong these will fire at 3V... when set at 3v it is weak.... 3.4 stronger... 3.7 even stronger and so on all the way to 6v.....

I have had one for about a month now. I like it. The battery voltage reading is way off. A fully charged 4.25 battery will read 4.7 volts! I have over a hundred batteries so no it is not the battery. This may just be my unit and not all. I paid way to much for my K200 59.00 with 2 18650's, case, X8, and a useless travel charger. I would think a body only would be worth around $25.00 and a full kit $45.00 (unless they are going to give a good warranty). I have seen these on China wholesale sites and Vendors are more than likely paying around $30.00 for full kits (bulk purchases).

Would I buy it all over again? Yes but only at my mentioned price points. I tend to like hot vape and turning up the voltage does the trick. A good Panasonic battery will last me 24hours. I use mostly non protected batteries and the PCB despite the voltage reading still cuts off well within the safety range. Also at the higher voltage setting you will notice a huge drop in hit even before the protection kicks in (this is at about 23.5 hours for my use and batteries).

I have also ordered a Vamo Ver2 SS ($27.00 delivered). In a few weeks I will know how they compare. I like the Vamo option of removing the extension tube and using a single 18350 battery making it much smaller than the K200. I hope the electronics are calibrated better. It would be nice not to have to double check everything with the GreenLee MM.

PS I also purchase a VV Mini no battery pass through.... Best bang for the vaper buck of any device out there! 4 voltage settings and no battery needed. Once you find your sweet spot just keep wrapping coils the exact same way.....

Maybe yours doesn't have the same problem as the one we tested, but have you tried hooking a multimeter up to it? Ours definitely never fires below 3.7 volts. It's fine after that, but all settings between 3.0 and 3.7 volts all give 3.7 volts of output on the one we've got.

I've just received my Kamry K200 today by DHL directly from China. Since 4 months i'm using Vamo powered by Panasonic CGR18650CH without any problem. Now i'm using K200 with Panasonic CGR18650CH and Vivi Nova 3.5ml 1.8 ohms.

It seem that K200 is not firing when the battery level reached 3.6v. I've tried reducing the voltage to 3.5v and then to 5v but failed.
Then i try putting back the battery and the clearomizer to Vamo, and it works perfectly as normal. Vamo display 3.6v same as what was display in K200. Does anyone had the same issue with K200 and how do you solved it?
Thanks for your kind reply.

I have to eat crow! It appears mine has the same problem. When I checked it with a low battery(the other night) it was firing around 3.5 volts...I had it set on 3.4. I Put a fully charged battery and it fires at 3.7 and maxed at 6. I must have imagined the vape change at the lower settings. Also with a low battery installed it would max at 5 volts. The electronics are far from state of the art. If you pick one up priced right it isn't a bad Mod. I rarely go below 3.9V anyway. I made the mistake of following one of Vaper Joe's recommendations that linked to a US seller and foolishly assumed these would be tested and true. I should have went straight to China to buy the mass produced junk just as I did with the Vamo. Why pay a middleman if they aren't going to test the product and take the risk out of the transaction. I look forward to trying the Vamo.

Sorry for the bad info on low voltage firing....

Correction a Fully charged battery will not fire below 3.7v. Tested using GreenLee MM and Panasonic battery.

Looks like Todd was the first reviewer to post one up. Thanks you posted 2 hours after it went up!

So I've heard reports that some are not firing at all when battery voltage drops below 3.9...?

Now I see what looks to be a newer revision. Instead of the tapered top it has a flat top like the vamo. This is a black chrome one and I'm not sure if its just cosmetic or if I can expect this one to be revised with the problems worked out. Anyone have any idea?
