I was looking at e rolls today, they had them in my local :)

See, eRolls are alive and well in ....where are you? I never really got on with mine, tight draw, horrible air channels, muted flavour, needed a recharge after 5 mins... though without the eRoll's success others might not have been inspired to produce better carto-free cigalikes

Yeah the Women in shop advised against it, just got the ijust one. Hes a dinky fellow :)

I'm too hard on the eRoll. Just got mine out to see how it vaped and it's not as bad as I remember. The 90 mAh battery does get weak very quickly after 5 mins of vaping though and then I have to work at it to get anything or recharge for another 30 mins.

Not as dinky as the iJust Mini.

Eleaf make the iKiss and Kissbox too. At 12cm it's a bit too long for me though. Comes in auto and manual versions and uses the same atomiser as the eRoll follow up, Ovale eMini Duo. Mostly good reviews from what I've seen around the web.

Thanks for starting this thread Jin - very interesting. Similar pattern with me. Started off with egos, then onto mods, messed around with the gennies and other tanks and then left wondered why I was still unhappy with my vaping. Bottom line - the size and the weight! I feel kind of lucky that the cloud-chasing aspect never appealed to me though.

Recently I've been going back to my 650 egos (where I started) and also messing around with Eleaf icare, and although it's certainly a step in the right direction I think I just want a good solid PCC and be done with it (no more rebuilding, no more gear cluttering up the house, no more wires, wicks, batts etc).

Looking at the aliexpress now, and will probably purchase one later on in the month. Do you order your coils there as well, and to order the new micro coils? Is that right? Cheers.

Hi v3a0m6o, you're welcome. I reached a point where the continual quest for the vaping holy grail, and trying to keep up with the newest developments became more of a chore than a fun pastime. Plus I have a habit of vaping while I work so needed something that suits in terms of stealth, convenience and low maintenance. Turns out that the Micro/Cassiel is perfect for this.

Not sure if I can post direct links to AliExpress sellers so I've PM'd you where I got my kits and atomisers. Since you have an iCare, you could also check out the Kamry Bin - a micro all-in-one MTL device with 1.6 ohm coil. Cheers!

Thanks very much for those links, much appreciated.

Just wondering how many extra batteries I should order if I decide to use this as my main device? (As a approximation - I typically go through about 4 mls of juice). Do the batteries last quite a few months until they no longer hold a charge?

With the new designed micro coils - is it a different type of clearo design they use, and so wouldn't work with the old ones? (I'm still a bit confused on this).

That Bin Kit looks fantastic, much better than the Eleaf iCare I think (at lest for my style). 1.5 to 1.8 @ 3.7 is my preferred vape, and it'll certainly be a lot less messier (much better design). With the iCare I'm using half a hole, and it's pretty good, but a little hit and miss on the consistency of the vape.

Edit - just realised - it's back to 2012, remember the gripper? Albeit a scaled down and improved clearo version :D

I've only had my batteries a few weeks so afraid I can't advise on that but they are holding up well so far. I found three USB starter kits in rotation worked best for me until I received the Cassiel PCC, and now I just use the two micros that came with it. I also don't have the old atomiser version of the clearo, but the seller from AliExpress states that the old micro and new micro are not compatible. So I think the screw threads are different between old clearos and new or something like that.

There IS one important thing before you order though (was saving this for the PCC review but you ought to know now). The batteries from the basic starter kit WILL NOT charge in the Cassiel PCC because the batteries that come with the PCC are different at the ends.

full

The micro on the left is from the basic USB starter kit and the one on the right is from the Cassiel PCC. The USB battery has an air hole at the end to activate the battery, but the Cassiel battery has a charging seal, and the activation air hole is positioned at the side of the tip. As far as I know, you can only order the Cassiel batteries with the PCC at the moment. So if, like me, you order the USB Micros thinking that you can charge them in the Cassiel PCC, you will be disappointed. It seems the USB and PCC use slightly different versions of the same Micro 2.0 (which is the official name of the new atomiser version) but it's an important difference when it comes to charging. The Cassiel batteries can also be charged by USB though.

I like the look of the Kamry Bin too and I'm sure I saw one somewhere that also took a 0.5 ohm coil for 'dry herbs' and CBD oil - but of course I wouldn't have any use for that ;)

My old vivi nova certainly has no use for that either! :w00t:

Great post, yeah that was my plan, to buy both the PCC and individual batteries, so thanks for the heads up. I can see the differences easily from the pictures now. Obviously have to keep my eye out for the side hole version then, if/when they ever do decide them without the PCC.

Good stuff and look forward to the PCC review!

Just found this review on the youtube.

I'm a bit frustrated. The store you advised to get it from is completely out of stock now. Not sure if it's worth waiting for them to restock (depending if they will) or chance my arm at the other stores? However, I do prefer the relative security and faster shipping that epacket offers, and nobody else seems to offer that option except that one store. :(

Great to see a review of the PCC! Hopefully more sellers will pick up the Micro/Cassiel so that it gets more recognition and support.

Sucks that SafeCigs are out of stock. If I were in your shoes I would take a chance with another seller and message them first about delivery concerns. Don't know your location, but I'm in the UK and have so far received numerous things from different sellers and the items have all reached me within 2 weeks. Otherwise I'm sure it will be restocked as a new item that has sold out. Production stopped during Chinese New Year so more should have been produced recently. The black version wasn't available even before then. I was told it was due to a moulding problem which doesn't make sense to me; I think it was just more popular.

As a last resort, the Vapourettes eCigs review is from a UK seller. They might be able to ship to you albeit at a significant mark up.

Thanks Jin, that's a good idea about messaging the other stores. I've just got a message back from SafeCigs and inform me they won't be restocking until next month.

Btw, what shipping service have you been using? Do you use the AliExpress Standard Shipping or upgade to the epacket?

Yeah, I'm in the Uk as well, and I saw that on the Vapourettes eCig site. Tbh, I get all my stuff from China, even my nicotine, and have (fingers crossed) never had a problem (just received an item from FT today, and it took 6 days!).

I've only ever used free shipping, delivered to where I work. I completely understand any reservations people might have with that but so far it's worked ok for me. I'd probably think twice about ordering any single item over a certain amount though, say £50 or more.

That's good to know. Cheers. Well, I've finally placed my orders. 2xcoils with PCC

Great, hope they come soon! The coils may arrive first as they are sent directly from China to UK but the PCC, because it has a lithium battery, may be routed through the Netherlands and arrive a bit later (if my order is anything to go by).

Today's tip: Retrieving a slipped o-ring

Not all of my Micros do this but one or two of them do. That is, the o-ring on the part of the atomiser that connects to the tank can slip off the atomiser and get caught around the centre post.

In the photo below you see the new and old Micro. If you look carefully at the new Micro atomiser on the left, you can see the o-ring towards the top. This is what you need to look out for, as there's nothing keeping that o-ring in place except luck.

10pcs-Coils-for-Kamry-Micro-Mini-E-Cigarette-Atomizer-Coil.jpg
If you notice that the o-ring has come away onto the centre post, Here is what you can do to fix the problem using a small, thin paper clip:

full
The o-ring is there as a precaution against leaks but don't panic if it slips and you can't remove it straight away. There have been times that this has happened while I was out and about without a paperclip and therefore unable to carry out the above steps. I just continued using the Micro and didn't experience any leaking or difference in vape quality. You do need to remove and re-position it at some stage though otherwise filling the tank with the o-ring in the way can be a pain.

Edit 1: I wonder if I need that slippy o-ring at all? Let me remove it from the ecig and see if I can get by without it entirely. Update later...

Edit 2: A few hours later it seems okay without the o-ring in place but I've been using the Micro desk bound rather than moving about. I wouldn't travel around without the o-ring in case any leakage does happen inside the PCC.

Any idea what size these o-rings are? I might try and grab a packet of them on FT.

5mm diameter but what you can also do is save o rings from used-up atomisers before you dispose of them.

The annoying o ring problem on that one atomiser kept happening so I took the risk of removing it entirely a couple of days ago. So far the Micro hasn't leaked, even when being jostled from place to place in its PCC. I think it's because the spout of the new micro atty - where the o ring sits - screws into the centre post rather than just sit flush with it as the old micro atty appears to do. So even without an o ring it seems pretty secure :thumb:
