Kamry Telescopic Storm, button problem FIX ?

My KTS button was getting super hot, and finally stopped working. So I sanded the contact post and surface of the push button (indicated in pics with a file) and the surface of the contact nut... Now it does not get hot at all and hits better than new. Ive seen pictures of KTSs people on here have sanded down to all brass. Anyone who has done this, I have a question. I want to grind the chrome plating off tomorrow, but I can not get the button housing off. It seems to be welded on. I dont want to break it but Ive seen replacement buttons online so it must come off. How do I do this?

Opps! it was just a bad coil head. No really, no need for the plating, plumes of vapor here.

There should be a washer type thing on the inside of the switch that keeps the fire button from coming out if you ever feel the need to take it out. Good to hear your problem is solved
