K. I think I'm giving up on looking for an RBA. I might still get an RDA to play with at home for testing juice, but just can't make up my mind on RBAs and to be honest, don't know if I want to mess with them or not, my nova minis are working just fine.

I'm looking to buy a bigger tank, around 22mm so that it will look better on my mod (sigelei zmax) than the little mini nova tanks, not really any other reason. Just wondering whether a dual coil is the way to go or not. Is it really that much better? I'm pretty happy with the cloud that I'm getting from my nova minis, so I was thinking I'd stick with one coil, unless someone convinces me why I would want to go to a dual coil. Are their any benefits besides more smoke? Are their any drawbacks to the Kanger pro 3 vs the 2? Part of me says just buy both and extra coils for both. I'm worried if I get a 3, it has 2 coils, so I'm assuming one on top and the other on bottom, and the replacement coils have short wicks. Shouldn't the top one have a longer wick? Is is worth bothering with the 3?

Hi. The Protank 2 is a single, bottom coil. I was not very impressed with them, personally. It was my 'starter rig'. The Protank 3 has a dual, bottom coil. I have heard that the dual coil head might be rebuildable but there are a mess of videos on rebuilding the version 2, single coil head. Both versions are bottom coil, many (myself included) find the vapor lacking and the taste muted, YMMV. They have 5 packs of the coil heads and until you are satisfied in your rebuilding ability with them, I would suggest picking up a 5 pack or two. That way, you will also have plenty of heads to rebuild. Spares are your friends. Good luck, be safe and have fun!

I just got my Protank 3 last week. At first I gave it a bad mark fro being too airy, but I found that if I slowed down on the draw, it would give me a better plume of vapor. On a separate note, you may want to get a syringe or a needle tip bottle top (like I need to) to fill them better, the eye dropper tops are kind of sketchy to fill the PT3 with. Here is a link to that other thread bro. I'll add an update there as well after this one.

I am a big fan of the Protank 2 and want to buy a couple extras. I am not too interested in the PT3 because as far as clearomizers go, my PT2 meets my needs wonderfully. But I do want to check out more designs, so I ordered an rba and can't wait to start messing with it! The biggest thing that you may notice is the differences between the performance of the long wick type and the bottom coil. I am an advocate of bottom coils myself, but the variety of choices available is part of what makes vaping so fun!!! :)

Well, the link provided some helpful insights. Jester, I've been looking into RBAs also. As a fellow linux user, i think we are all tinkerers at heart, but for my job and situation I just need something that I can plug and go. I've yet to try a bottom coil, but I expect I'll like it. I think I'm going to go with the Kanger Pro II. Might order today or tomorrow and try it when I get home. Thanks again everyone for the input.
