I've felt so underwhelmed by mine. I've used 7 different coil heads now and all have performed about the same. the flavor isn't there - i get more flavor from my pt2 coils even when the pt3 coil is brand new. the vapor is more at first but these things get gunked up so quickly that after an hr or two the vapor production is just the same if not less than the pt2.
the pt3 just sucks at wicking imo. if i had to guess why id say bc of all that extra wicking material in there. i much prefer the pt2 single coils bc i can easily remove these extra "flavor" wicks. i tried converting a failing pt3 dual coil into a single coil by removing the top coil and all of the extra wicking material between the two coils, hoping that this would allow it to wick better and give better flavor. i wasn't able to rebuild it in any sort of functional manner bc the tail wires of the coil had already been cut to length and were impossible to get back to their original positions without being bent and misshaped when reinserting the insulation grommet and pin - the circuit read open when i checked the resistance. too much hassle for something that you should just be able to screw in and use.
anyways i don't think that the way to get more vapor and flavor is to upgrade to the latest and "greatest" iteration of whatever clearo tank one is using. I've realized that a clearo is a clearo and while some may be better than others (ie pt2 is better than pt3 lol), any device in this class is going to give abt the same results. for more vapor and flavor I'm going up a class to an rba/rda.
