Not really... Common misconception... the thinking goes that if you are using less voltage than you are using less battery..

However that is not correct.. in fact it could be the opposite. In the 2 examples below note that even though the wattage to the coil is the same, that the current use is actually less on higher resistance example

Examples

Voltage (E): 3.7
Current (I): 2108 mA
Resistance (R): 1.8
Power (P): 8W


Voltage (E): 4.4
Current (I): 1788 mA
Resistance (R): 1.5
Power (P): 8W
