Kanger aerotank insulator?

I rebuilt my Kanger aerotank head and I'm just wondering if the insulator which seems to be a different material on both the aerotank and pt3 (silicone?). Do these insulators burn just as easily as the old ones, or are they more heat resistant?

I haven't had any problems. Unless your Legs are too long which they shouldn't if you clip em down. I haven't had any burnt taste.
