yesterday I began using the ShenZhen Kanger Technology Co. Ltd 808d1 cartomizers I ordered with the USB passthrough I received in the same shipment. So far I have had a 100% failure rate (five cartos expired within a matter of hours). I suspect the problem is that they cannot handle 5v usage as I have experienced no failure at 3.7 volts. These would have come out of the factory in late April, early May. If any of you have had similar problems I would appreciate hearing about it.

i've used KR's on a direct wire PT with no problems. just have to keep them juiced and make sure you can see light through the battery end out of the mouth hole. it may look lined up, but if i can't see light, i don't even try to vape it. i have a needle bottle that i gently shove through the hole to line it up.

i think without that airflow going through they just sit there and stew and burn up. that and lay off the button and do short bursts.

Are all the suppliers' k808d1cartos from the same and only one manufacturer?

It's been quite unppredictable for me, troubleshooting k808d1cartos and trying to figure out which ones are designed for the PT, and which ones for the batteries (similar to LR for batteries, HV for above 4 volts). All this happened since March, and I had told so many smokers that the k808s were so great.

They are great (or they can be), but the PTs need to be 4 volts regulated, and the cartos consistent, that is my opinion. That way k808s can truly work consistelntly with both PTs and batteries, but I do think that suppliers have now sorted them out a little, and know better about which kinds they have (I hope so).
