Just wondering about this:

  • Protank 1/2 coils 5 pcs - 5,99
  • Protank 3 coils 5pcs - 9,99
  • New sealed-wicks Protank 3 coils 5pcs - 12,99

The Protank 1 coils retail for a fine price, but the newer ones seem to be getting increasingly more expensive. Is there any justification for this apart from "It's newer, so we can"? 12,99 for the newest coils just seems insanely overpriced to me.

I'm aware that you can coil them yourself, but I'll need some supplies for that first.:D

Such an obvious difference and it totally slipped my mind!

I couldn't get my regular EVOD2 coils with my last order, so I tried the upgraded ones. I don't like them at all. They're harder to clean, and you can't pop the "tube" (IDK lol, I'm a vape n00b) off for a dry burn. Also, $11.95 for a 5 pack.
Sounds nefarious really. An easy way to sell more coils to those who don't know better.

So Cal
I have not bought a new coil for months! learned how to recoil them and wick with cotton and never looked back! I even took a couple of the new dual coil ones I hadn't used yet that came with my protank 3 and recoiled them with a single coil and they are WAY better!
Most of my builds are 1.3-1.6 ohm using twisted 32 gauge or parallel 32 guage wrapped and wicked with cotton and they work great, no flooding, no dry hits, no burnt taste and they last longer! I can even crank up the voltage on my spinner to 4.2 and never have a problem.
Learn how rebuild them! it's stupid easy and only takes me 5 mins at the most to build a coil. just a little trial and error with how much cotton they need is all, the dual coils that I replace with a single take a little more cotton just to fill the gap, on those I also raise the coil just a little to help fill the gap also.

so far I have a : protank 3, protank 3 mini, T3S, T3D all work great!

100ft kanthal on ebay = $6
large bag of cotton balls (wallgreens) = $5
ohm reader = $15 from B&M
bic lighter = had from smoking
nail clippers = stole from the wife
tweezers = stole from the wife
scissors = who doesn't have scissors laying around?

that is all I have spent on coils for the last 4 months or so and what I have will probably last me a year or two.
