Hi all
This is my first post here and I hope someone can give me some info.
I got an aerotank v2 for Xmas and I love it so far.
I moved up from Evods that I was using for about a year.
So when I took out my coil that was in the aerotank I had a good look at it and noticed that it was different from the spare coils I had bought with the tank.
I can't see a cleaning method or a rebuild tutorial on youtube for it. The spare coils I got have the metal sleeve with four holes with wicks protruding, however this one has only two holes larger than the ones one the spare coils with no wick protruding. When I (broke) took off the chimney I saw something similar to an aspire with what seems to be an inner tube with some kind of wicking material.
Does anyone know a model number or a name for this as I think it's far superior to the spare ones I got?

Thanks in advance

Damo

I have a Kanger Aerotank Mega and it came with two Kanger dual coil heads , i have since been using regular Kangertech Pro Tank single coil heads which i rebuild instead of needing to buy the Kanger dual coil heads .

I was surprised the regular Pro Tank heads work so well in the Aerotank Mega but they do .

I just use the one on the bottom .

They are very very easy to build actually and before i really new how i bought the 50 packs of prewicked and wrapped coils at Fasttech , they actually work very well .

They also get great reviews.

$2.83 Pre-Coiled Welded Wires w/ Wicks - NR-R-NR (50-Pack) 50-pack - 32 AWG / 1.5ohm / 4-wick at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

I have since wrapped my own using 30 gauge wire wrapped around a 1/16th drill bit (perfect size for Pro Tank heads) because it fits in the open slot in those heads .

I have compared the vape to the Kangertech dual coil and i cannot tell a difference between the dual and single coil Pro Tank heads .

Thanks for the link Herb, I've got it bookmarked for future reference.

The main E cig link for that site is here:

FastTech - Gadgets and Electronics

It's the biggest and by far the most extensive collection of everything related to e cigs in the world , if you can't find it here it's probably not available .

Close to 900 pages of e cig stuff lol.

You got the original protank coils to work in an aerotank that takes duals? Nice. I never did get that to work. Just leaked everywhere. But yeah, there's essentially 3 version of the coils for aerotank v2's and protank 3's.
Dual Coil Exposed wick
Kanger ProTank 3/Aerotank/T3D/Evod 2 - Dual Coils - 5 Pack 1.8ohms
Dual Coil Enclosed wick
Kanger Dual Coil Atomizer Heads (enclosed wick) - 1.5ohms
Vertical Organic Cotton
NEW Kanger EC Vertical Cotton Coils - 5 Pack - 1.8ohms (Enclosed VOCC)

I've used all three extensively and all three styles are good. But I prefer the vertical cotton ones myself, slightly better flavor. You just can't dry burn them. And they last quite a bit longer.

Oh and I've never ordered from discount vapers. Shop with care.

Oh and if you want to rebuild the enclosed style duals.

And a handy picture guide to rebuild the organic cotton vertical coils. Its technically a guide to turning the duals into the vertical, but that's basically the same thing.

For what it's worth: I ordered twice from Discountvapors.com last month and they were excellent to deal with in all ways. Answered an email question quickly, and they saved me a lot of dough and got me a better replacement product than the original I was looking at.

Thanks for that great info!
I just put one of the silicon gaskets upside down on the chimney and it seems to work so far. Not much flavour though. It should keep me going until I get the pre wicked coils off fasttech.
And thanks to your message I finally figured out that the coil I'm after is the VOCC version. Best I've used so far.
The e cigarette shops over here tend to offload any kind of coil at any price if they think you don't know what you're after
