I purchased 2 x Dripbox 60's, but haven't use them due to the short-circuiting issue. Well, I decided to research the problem. I placed a piece of plastic between the + battery terminal and the top housing... Works perfectly! It's not the most expensive mod, but there's just something endearing about it... I especially love the size and shape. No dna chip is nice, though most of my mods are regulated.

What do you think is causing the issue?
I have 3, but haven't had a problem yet.
I've read if you tighten the battery too much, it can autofire.
The terminal post is being pushed through the top > makes connection with the top plate > then completes the circuit. Even if you don't over-tighten the battery, the post is eventually going to pierce the top.

    Understand.
I'll put them in my growing pile of gear "too be hacked" sometime...LOL.
