So I recently picked a few Kanger Mini PT 3's, I usually stay away from dual coil tanks because I don't like to waste liquid and some of the people I know go through liquid like crazy with their dual coil setups, but of course their burning high amps and lower resistance with their mods (I'm not into that), but when I got the Mini PT 3's they came with the enclosed dual coils and I picked up a few extra figuring it always good to have backups for your backups (I have lots of those) however I'm now on day eight of using the same coil. This has got to be the longest I've ever used a coil without replacing it. I'm really surprised and pleased. I'm by no means a super heavy user but no where near a light user either. I use it a lot so I'm very impressed with these new coils. I sure hope they all last as long and this one coil has and it isn't the special one of the bunch, lol.

The coils that came with my Aerotank mini were a LOT better than the replacements so far...not sure why or IF there's a difference.

May be trying the vertical build ?

That's about one of the most difficult builds you can attempt in vapedom. If you want to have your vape heaven inside of two weeks, have a PT that performs like a Kay (how vape store owners and pro builders describe the builds) you're going to need one of these…

And it takes about 30 seconds. No torching, no squeezing, no fiddling with shorts. It just works.

Lot's of talented veterans there who can help you rein in that build.

Good luck.

WOW....thanks.

Just picked up a 5pk of the "old style" Kanger coils (pretty sure they're clones) and I guess I'll be hitting the Vape shop for some wire here rear soon.
The Vape Shop I been dealing with has been out of Kanger dual coils for over a week and I hit up the local "smoke shop" and got some copies....can only clean so many times :( LOL

Yeah they tell ya silica dry burns clean but it don't really. Only one synthetic I know does, stark white, and that's Nextel. Harder on an installed coil but it works in a Protank. Problem is you've got to have a good geometry, consistent coil to really take advantage of that material. It's pricey but a single wicked coil can least you many weeks because it really does come clean in a wash and dry burn. Anyway, my discovery going back more than a year. So I've been on a mission Skunk to spread this far and wide. A tension wind and good cotton or nextel ceramic braid gives you the high end gear vape in a tank you can take to work, or a drive or have your kids drop. You get the picture.

Good luck. Hope you join us on the http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/clearomizers/486794-protank-microcoil-discussion.html You'll be that picture in a week or less.

:)
