Greetings,

I recently ordered a Kanger Evod eGo Clearomizer that comes with a 2.4ohm atomizer. When I was picking out the replacement atomizers, resistances of 1.8ohm and 2.4ohm were available. I am using an eGo 1100mAh battery and as I understand, the eGo battery will work with either of these atomizers. What I am trying to find out is if anyone has used both the 1.8ohm and the 2.4ohm atomizers with the eGo batteries. If so, which do you recommend and why? Also, my favorite liquid is T.V. Burmanii (formerly known as Geoff's Blend) which is horribly bad on cartomizers. This has forced me to switch to other liquids, despite my enjoyment of the Burmanii flavor. If you have ever tried or use Burmanii (Geoff's Blend), have you ever used it in the Kanger Evod and if so, how well does it work?
Thank you in advance for reading this and for your insight!

Best Regards,

Zhao

Hi Zhao and welcome.

You can use both resistances on your eGos, but I recommend the 1.8Ω. Your battery outputs 3.3v, so with a 1.8Ω atty, you'll be vaping at 6 watts, which is a very nice wattage. A 2.4Ω atty on the same battery will give you only 4.5 watts, which is a bit low, IMO.

If you're dealing with any thick, dark, sweet eliquid, you will alwyas have problems--they are not atty-friendly and will gunk up the coil very fast. You'll have to clean the coil daily and replace them often, but it's doable. If your eliquid is very thick, you may try to dilute it with a drop or two of distilled water (per ml) or some PG. Or you can gently remove one strand of the flavor wick of your eVod coil to improve wicking.

Good luck!

kanger also offers 2.2ohm in the replacement coils, which is what I use......perfect to me.

Dark liquids often require more heat though, so maybe 1.8 better for you.

I pretty much moved away from dark juice, esp. since I use high VG......double whammy.

which is why I bought a bottom feeder. Most problems solved :)

When using my egos I do really like the EVODs a lot though.

I often see recommendations of a 2.4 for Egos, but personally I prefer the 1.8's.
Even with Variable WATTS on a mod (which SHOULD adjust the voltage and make the vape SIMILAR) I find I like the lower resistance.
I've also found that if you buy a box of 1.8's, that on average two of them will actually measure 1.9 and two will measure 2.0 :)

Greetings and thank you all for the warm welcome!
Also, many thanks for the great explanations! That definitely helps me understand which atomizer to purchase now and whether or not I should bother using Burmanii at all. Your timing was perfect btw, I received both tanks and atomizers today so I am eager to try these out.
