Kanger evod silicone gasket swelling?

Has anyone else experianced this with citrus ejuices? I had one of my evod's center post silicone gasket (the cup washer style one) swell up to fill the inner diameter of my evod, and also the next silicone sealing ring below that on the base. I tried to look this up a few days ago, and couldn't find anything on it. On a side note, I checked that gasket today, and looks like the swelling disappeared, but the second gasket is ruined!

I'll take some pics tomorrow with my iPhone, since i'm about to get some sleep. Like I said, the cup washer style gasket DID shrink back down, but the second one got trashed.

Hopefully that worked.... I would have posted them straight from my phone using that Tapatalk app... but I got the free one, and I'm just starting to use it. Haven't figured it out yet.

Pic 1 - the ruined upper evod base gasket under the other good one i'm still using.
Pic 2 - angled view of ruined upper evod base gasket installed, extra material stuck to lower base gasket.
Pic 3 - just pulled it out of the tank I had it installed in, had an orange ejuice loaded in it.
Pic 4 - ruined gasket next to good one (can see the ruined one is slightly larger, even tho it's split)
Pic 5 - replacement cup style gasket (left) I put in tank after first one swelled to double the original size (right). I could tell the replacement even was starting to swell some.

As I stated earlier in the post, the original swelled up to double normal size, not allowing ejuice to flow down to the wicks. Has anyone else had problems with the silicone seals/gaskets swelling with any juices?

I've heard of tanks cracking, but not this! I suppose it's probably the same issue,,,,,,,,,acidic juices.

Yeah, that is what I was thinking. I figured if anything, the plastic on the sight gauge would have cracked.... not this.

This tank is ruined now, until I get a new replacement base... and even then, the tank's plastic might be suspect to use from now on.

Personally i would bin the Evod, after that kind of damage you never know how it has affected the plastic.
The Evod is such a successful design i hope they move to pyrex, actually that would be no good due to the seals being destroyed.
Pyrex was a good idea till i thought about it.
