Kanger issue

I have a couple of Kanger MT3's that I bought locally. These are the ones with the smooth shaft. I just got another MT3 today in the mail and this one has a spoke style shaft. I also got a new EVOD.

All of these tanks seem to work fine until they get to about 1/4 way to the bottom. Then the gurgling starts and my batteries get flooded.

I can usually solve by removing the head, wiping it down real good, and adding more juice. I have learned to not draw real hard so as to avoid this.

Am I doing something wrong here?

I am mainly using 70/30 juice

Just make sure everything is tight and that the rubber cap is pushed down all the way. My protank does the same thing when it gets low, I just assume its a common bottom coil problem. A thicker liquid also may help as I am using a 70/30 aswell.

That's a fairly common issue with bottom coils, just don't let them get too low.

My Protanks can get wonky if less than 1/3 full.

When a bottom feeder is low,air is pulled into the wicks and breaks the vacuum that holds the juice in the tank.

Well thats a bummer. I am still in the process of trying several juices. I got about 30 different flavors on hand. I Hope to narrow this down to 4 or 5 in the next few months.

Guess i need to stock up on a supply of tanks.

I have never had my protank do this. I use a 50/50 PG/VG so that might be the difference. Thicker juice.

Pro tanks are the pyrex glass ones right? I got two of those on order right now. it would be great to clear up this issue.

Yes they are the glass Kanger bottom coils. Other people talk about gurgling with it but I have to be absolutely honest. As long as the head is screwed in well I have never had an issue with it even in the last 1/10th if the tank. BUT as I said I use a thicker juice.

Seems to be a commonly reported issue with the bottom coils, although my Protanks are more prone to it than my T3s...

I like to use either cartos or the Vivi Nano for new juices. Relatively cheap and easier than cleaning all the time.

What others have prescribed, specifically to make sure everything is snug, is important. I also found that dragging a little less vigorously gives one more time before they get flooded. I presume strong drags sucks the juice into the chamber more rapidly and the vacuum is already fragile at low levels, thus breaking that seal. Also read up on rebuilding with mesh or thicker silica if you are a DIYer. Stay away from mechanical mods though if you get into rebuilding - until you are confident with electrical laws and methods so as not to get hurt.

What I do if/when the atty begins to flood and gurgle on my bottom coils as the tank nears empty is take the tank off the mod, and shake out the excess liquid/condensation out through the mouthpiece thermometer style. Usually, the rest of the tank will vape normally again, but I'll usually just top it off anyway unless I'm planning to change flavors.

I had the exact same problem... and i solved it by placing a wick ( just one strand ) on top of the wick and coil... had a lot of leaking issues when carrying it around in my pocket but this solved the issue completely

I had given up on my Kanger T3 as it was leaking and gurgling, but after reading this thread RE: not letting the juice get too low, I have topped mine up and it is working again without the leaks, thanks all

In my experience, all of the devices we have available either work great out of the package - or don't.

And they all have their own quirks. Once you find the one you like, it's just a question of searching ECF to find what others have done to perfect their use, getting to know how to deal with those quirks.

Some of the fixes may be simple, some not so. It's then a question of whether or not you want to do the "not so..." for that device, or try something else.

Any liquid container that also needs to permit air to pass through is potentially leaky. Find and try the tips to fix that.

What I have figured out about bottom feeders is that you need to keep them as close to vertical as possible when they start getting low on juice. Once you take a draw where one of the wicks is not covered by juice in the tank the seal gets broken and it floods soon after. Once i figured this out I started to be able to vape my t3's dry as long as I hold my PV right while vaping.

I experience the same issue with my Kanger T3's. I assume its a syphon effect caused by the coil being bottom feed. keep then relatively full and they work well.

So I have a couple of Vivi's, but it seemed like I was always having to move the tank around to keep the wics wet. I guess I am just lazy. Who knows.
