Kanger mt3 coil problems

I ordered a large 20 count replacement head set and most of them are not wicking right I have to do pulls that I do not fire on to get juice in the coil or its nothing but dry hits. It's driving me utterly nuts.

Perhaps pull out one of the loose extra wicks that sits on top of the coil?
