im getting really mad, anyone know a fix for this?? and is this common because i think im going to throw this out and buy a better quality product

I'm still rather new to this, but I had a similar problem with a Kanger dual coil. My B&M guy said to remove the coil and gently pull out on the pin in the coil that comes into contact with the battery. He said that they sometimes get pressed down farther on one battery that leaves them slightly short of making contact with another. If that works, you might want to use it only on the MVP until you change the coil in the future.

I'm sure others will chime in if I got some bad/questionable information that I am relaying, but that did fix my problem that one time and I have never had that problem again with any other Kanger coils.

Sounds like the center pin of the battery is not making a connection with the atomizer of the clearomizer/tank. This usually occurs from over-tightening the tank onto the battery connector. Just make sure that if you use something conductive (metal) to pry up on the center pin that you do NOT hit the fire button while you are working on the battery. Or better yet, turn off the battery.

Center Pin Issue - Fixing a non firing eGo battery

If you continue to have problems, buy a few spacers from MadVapes. They solve all connectivity problems. Just drop one into the 510 well of your battery and you're good to go! You can thank ECF member GinnyTx for this little tidbit!:)

'NON' is common on the MVP. It means the 510 connection (the electrical connection) is not being made.

More often than not the problem is on the MVP and not the Kanger Protank.

Kanger coils might be a bit poor on the QC, but I've never had one that couldn't be detected by a mod.... and that's using many of them.

ok thanks ill check it out, does anyone know about the coils looking like the single coils from the pro tank 1 and 2, why theyre not the shorter ones? i bought the itaste and backup coils from mt baker vapor, just wanna make sure they are still double coil but just longer or if they are the single ones

Everything everyone is saying is correct, but they're talking about a different issue which is often from over-tightening.* Your issue is that you bought the wrong coils for your tank, and they aren't going to work right.

Kanger changes coil styles like they're fashion accessories at an outlet mall, and there were longer versions and shorter versions for awhile, then shorter seemed to win out for this month. They were fairly interchangable until the Protank 3, which has a longer stem and work in the protank 3, aerotank/evod2/mini 3, etc. You might get them to fire, but not safely and not well.

The coils you have would work in a PT/PT2/evod/mini/mini2/etc. One trick might be buying a $5 evod to use the coils with, or I saw a mini 2 on sale for $8 at hoosier. In all honesty, Protank 2 + airflow base has been their best for me.

*(BE CAREFUL OF THIS ON THE MVP -- FINGER-TIGHTEN AND CONSIDER GETTING AN ADAPTER TO PROTECT YOUR THREADS). Getting finger-tightening right usually takes messing up a mod until you realize you just barely want it secure but not tight.

That would be a 510 connector problem.
It happens when the center pin on the battery side gets pressed down.

It's not unique to the mvp;

EvilGenius - I have the exact same set-up as you and have never had the problem. Take the advice of the previous posters and see if it doesn't fix it.

You're using protank 2 heads in a protank 3 with no issues? I feel like I'm missing something so will be quiet now.

yeah shortly after I posted this, it detected it again, I'm not happy right now also ive noticed I sometimes get a burning in my throat from juices I normally don't in my halo triton, ive tried watts of 7-11.0 weird and its fully charged

anyways I checked the pro tank 3's box it said it is version 2, is that why the coils are longer than indoors?

i bought the mvp, tanks, and coils from baker vapor and they said on their site its compatible :|

can anyone suggest a good mod in vein of the mvp that can use the kanger pro tank 3s and coils? im sick of this mvp going to non everytime I have to add juice or swap tanks

im thinking about the eleaf istick, I really don't want to spend a lot since this mvp is only 2 weeks old! but im now going to say its a piece of garbage, too many issues in too little amount of time, and from what people are saying its a common issue

thanks
