Why would a shop that deals directly in Kangers and the clerk has been vaping on ProTanks for a while tell me to lightly blow into the tank....mind you, it actually works very well to prime it (sucking with no power doesnt prime it like above user said). Clerk said he chain vapes all the time (2 tanks a day) and does this "trick", so why would you say to never blow into the tank?

With that being said, I use mostly 80PG/20VG or sometimes 50/50. I understand the viscosity of different juices and I take that into account. I vape at 2.5ohm on the Kanger PT2 coil that came with it. I also understand that my coil might be getting EOL, but only after one week?

I also have 2 other iClear30 tanks that I keep filled.

No idea, maybe he told you to do that to get rid of unwanted juice in the center tube? But you're not supposed to blow into the tank--but into the center tube using a straw. Edward at Sun Vapers recommends this technique. You can also turn your tank upside down and unscrew the base a little to let the liquid drain from the tube--it's called 'burping your tank." Or you can use a q-tip and just gently wipe the center of the air tube dry. But you never ever blow into the tank.

It really has nothing to do with priming the wick.

(sucking with no power doesnt prime it like above user said).

It does. Taking a few puffs without pushing your battery button draws the e-liquid into the atomizer without vaporizing it. That primes (moistens) the coil and helps prevent dry hits. I do this often myself.

Very good information, thank you for that. I am still curious as to why when I blow slightly into the tank I get a nice good hit off of it, no burnt taste at all....but when i try to suck dry I still taste burnt. What is going on here?

Guess I found out the size, but not food grade. This post earlier has the size:

Sun Vapers seems to be a reoccurring vendor for these O-Rings. I just wish they wouldn't be out of stock all the time!

The o-rings at SunVapers are not for in the tank. They are the tiny ones for the base- where you screw in the coil, not the 2 larger ones which the glass sits between.

Yup I just watched it now. Good info! I think maybe he was telling me to blow into the tank because it puts more of a vacuum back into it? I honestly dont know, I will ask him next time I see him. He explained that when I blow into the tank I should see a few bubbles rising and then take a rip, and I will get a good pull off of it...which I do!
I tried your method of just sucking a few times dry and yes I also get a good rip off of it.

OH! Well that changes everything....Guess it don't really matter since I got replacements at Lowes and they seem to work just fine. Thanks for the heads up.

I have a feeling a lot of people ordered thinking they were the large o-rings, not the tiny ones for the base.
