Kanger Protank 2 glass in broken Protank 1?

I have been wondering about the replaceable glass tank in the Kanger Protank 2. I have several original Prtotanks, and one of them hit the floor at work and shattered. Rather than turn my broken Protank 1 into a base-dripper like I have seen in another post, if I were to remove the broken glass from my Protank 1 by heat treating the glue, etc, and buy a Protank 2 replacement glass (not that I have seen them for sale yet) would that glass tank fit into my Protank 1 in place of the broken glass? Assuming of course I glued it in like the original. As the base is the same size, would that mean the glass might be the same size as well? Yeah, they are only $15-20 new, but I just hate to see the thing sitting on my desk shattered.

Hey bud, they wont fit, they have the Protank 1 tops for sale, and everyone i seen (like 20 different sites) does not have any at all in stock, i dont know why people is buying them up like crazy i guess, but i wouldnt think that you would get a seal that you could trust, because the curves in the protank 2, sorry man

That was my first place, but i was going to get a purple and clear one, and get some other stuff from there, i dont like to get 1 thing from places when i could get a few more things because of the shipping and all, Got Vapes is where i was trying, and was going to get a shorty drip tip for the protank 2, thank you

I doubt that will work since the PT2 uses o-rings and the glass in the PT2 is a different shape to accommodate the o-rings as well.

Different tapered shape of glass, heating the glue? Not gona work. All the surgery, time spent is worth more than the $20 a protank is

Here's an idea. Since you'll probably need a new tank, if you can't get new glass for your ProTank1, why don't you just buy a ProTank2?
Once you get it, try and see if it will work. If it does, then order another glass tube and fix it. Now you'll have a spare tank. If it won't work then you already have it's replacement.
That's the route I would go. But that's just me.
