Im really happy about this news. The drip tip feature...Ahhhhhh as previously stated, seals the deal.

I ordered some x9,s and was disappointed about the tight draw which makes getting the same big vape with one draw hard to do.

Anyway,,, good news. Where do I get one ?
The one I know of right now is juice Mafia has them for PRE order.

I just got my Protank two days ago.... That said I'm in. I work in a car 12hrs a day. Getting out for 20 minutes and getting back in on a 95 degree day plus a stainless steel drip tip = a bad situation.
Very valid point. If I may suggest something. It's probably not the best idea to leave any APV battery in that kind of heat for safety reasons.

That said, I took a condom from a cartomizer and snipped a portion of the closed end off then slip it over the PT mouthpiece for comforts sake.

Sorry for the long copy & paste, but there's so much glass hitting the market it's hard to keep track of it.

April Update: Smoktech has just released a Pyrex and Metal DCT tank. It looks like manufacturers are finally responding to consumer requests for more durable gear! Smoktech glass dual coil cartomizer tank

*There is also a Pyrex Vivi Nova that just hit the market. No reviews yet on how it performs: Pyrex 3.5ml ViVi Nova Tank

*It appears the manufacturers have figured out that there is a big market for glass. Smoketch has the "ARO TANK," pyrex BCC that looks like a slim EVOD (it's hard to tell from the same pictures I've seen). It has a colorful metal sleeve with a window like an EVOD. They haven't hit the market yet (except for pre-orders), but will very soon. ARO TANK

*The Kanger Protank has already been cloned. It's called the "X9 Protank" and is made by Kamry. Early reviews are very positive. X9 Protank

*Vision is also getting into the act, with the Victory A glassomizer with eGo threading that reportedly takes Protank and EVOD heads, as well as Vision.

*There is also the DBox PuriTank another BCC very similar to the Protank, but with a removable drip tip.

ETA: Discount Vapers has updated the product description. The Victory is not glass.

Not correct - base is almost identical and interchanges with original. 510 Threading extrusion has specific fit which cannot be changed with current wick design.
Difference is in construction:
to allow for seals rather than glue.
Easy cleaning - fully disassemble
Use of personal choice in Drip tip
Larger capacity

True, but couldn't they have beefed up the composition of the metal used around the base to make it stronger? I hope that's what they did, because for it to be compatible with old version heads there could be no difference in thickness or design or else it wouldn't work. I hope they're not just saying it is stronger and that it actually is.

Modular design is usually an improvement, and I will try out the new one. One of my favorite features is the fact that it is essentially leak-proof in its current incarnation. Several new places it can leak now; to ruin my clothes / make a mess. I think I will stock up on the first version just to be safe.

Interesting but...

Love the EVODs and Pro Tank Mini because it uses the sleeve and the much larger diameter and stronger Ego cone threading. I have a Pro Tank and although I have not broke it, it don't leave the house either.

Here is my guess for the Pro Tank 3 Same as the Pro Tank 2 but uses the EVOD/MPT sleeve Ego cone threading.

Then the Mini Pro Tank will roll out with drip tip and can be taken completely apart.

At this point, I have three EVODs, one Pro Tank and will be purchasing the Mini Pro Tank next month. I'll pass on the Pro Tank 2 and use a Mini until they roll out the PT3. The rate Kanger is moving, I'd say the PT3 should hit by Oct/Nov.
