K I just joined ECF today (been vaping for 6 months though) and I don't see where I can subscribe to threads or Forums. Help?

Go to the main page I linked, and above all the threads, you'll see "Forum Tools", the click on Subscribe to Forums. I always do it to the control panel, and then click settings to see what forums and threads I'm subscribed to that have new posts. Forums are highlighted if they have new posts, and threads are visible if they have new threads.

Subscribing to a thread is similar, in that, while in that thread, click on Thread Tools, and select Subscribe to Thread (same thing, choose Control Panel).

Seeing new posts in threads you're subscribed to or read before is also easy. Just click on the little blue arrow-type icon, and you'll be taken to the first unread message. Looks like this:

I hope this helps! :)

And Welcome to ECF! :D

well after work they were gone. found a fix for mine so guess I will wait until some more come in. also the tanks are not stainless steel as kanger says they are plated. had a broken glass one so it was used as a guinea pig to see if the fix worked. soldered a piece from an old carto on the bottom after removing the silicone gaskets, replaced gaskets after soldering ,added a piece to make the connection and a working protank again sits a little higher but works again

500 more coming next week

BUT I will probably NOT release them all at once, I am seriously run down right now, all of those protank bases, so many orders.
I am so tired and my wife is too, so we *might* do stages or something, like 100 a night until they are gone, not sure yet.

I have about 8 proTanks in rotation and use them all the time, so far I haven't had an issue with any of them so all this ProTank base stuff is a bit confusing to me, had I known it was such an issue I would have ordered 5000 of them.

I even tried to break a few.. weird

Try dropping them on a hard floor with a big mod attached to take the fall, the base usually flexes enough to break... thats how ive broken every one of mine.

I've tipped them over, and dropped one once (attached to an eVic), and all came out fine. I think maybe it was mainly the first wave maybe? At any rate, I've seen tons of people around the forum and other venues looking for them... I think maybe many are getting them as backups, just in case something happens?

As always Eric, we appreciate your efforts. Please don't kill yourself (or let Jamie either)! Stages makes sense, and it will helps some of those that missed one night catch ya on the next night too! :)

Eric, I think they just have to hit right. the weak spot seems to be where the three air holes are. don't know why they need three the ones I soldered with a new 510 connector have only two holes I took them from a blu carto. the first was a trial just to see if it would work, it sits higher than normal but seems to work fine. the second unless you look at the bottom of the base withn it off the mod you would never know it was repaired. cannot bring myself to tear it apart to redo it. it will hold me till you get more in and I may use it till it is used up. I still want to buy some spares though.i have managed to break two bases and one tank.not that clumsy just have a bad hand from breaking it twice.

Got my replacements yesterday. Eric you are awesome! That was super fast. Loving my protank again, it works so well (if you don't EVER drop it) I got replacement coils too so I have tried out different flavors (only had it two days before I dropped it and the base broke) and it is just amazing. I like the easier draw (which some call airy) but I don't like having to draw so hard, like I have had to do on top wick clearos (like the CE4 and iClear30) Which is why I switched to cartos early on in my vaping experience, but the worries of over saturation and the hassle of switching flavors, made me love the bottom coil clearos of the protank. Thanks again for getting the replacement tanks. I love my protank again!

It's not only that some bases have broken...people needing backups....and dripping attys out of them.....

Some people are making a different top section for these Protanks out of metal but using the same bases. So the top glass section is not needed for that, they sell the seperate glass top part cheap...people buy the seperate base cheap...then WaLa,...they have a new ProTank for a few bucks by buying the parts instead of a complete tank

And the word has spread like wildfire that Eric carries the bases cheap.....cuz not all vendors are carrying the bases alone.
