mine happened from dropping it on the mouthpiece. it caused the 510 connection to crack a little then after a few days the thread piece just popped off.

Damn, these bases are made out of paper or something... 1 foot drop and my base connection snapped off... That was already my second one 
Oh my, that picture makes me want to be even more careful. As I was riding my bike with no hands while vaping my protank and ego mini on the way to work today I was thinking how irresponsible that really was for my vaping gear lol. I suppose it's irresponsible for my safety too though...
Actually, some of us need the bases to attach to the Tatroe SS tops that replace the Pyrex Protank tops. I just bought a second Tatroe - I'd like to end up with 3 or 4 - and would like to buy just the base for it.
Do you like them twice as much as a protank because they are twice as expensive ?
I don't personally have one, but they do look nice and if my protank glass breaks I'll be getting one. Only thing I don't like is that I like to see my juice level... I hate knowing it's out by receiving a bad hit. I expect that it is AS GOOD as a protank, with the added benefit of being indestructible. Consider the higher price to be going toward indestructible construction materials and American trade, rather than increased performance.
Hi everyone, my base is ok, but I notice its sillicone gasket is starting to tear. So my question is can I only buy a pack of base gaskets from somewhere around Germany? I don't seem to find them in the German websites..

Actually the Tatroe SS tops are more than twice as expensive. And they are worth every penny.
1. A few days after getting the Protank, I dropped my Provari and the Pyrex sheared right off where it connects to the lower chromed section. I had been thinking of getting a Tatroe, so I pulled the trigger, since I had a perfectly good base for one.
2. The Tatroe holds more juice than the Pyrex top. It also has ZERO leakage. The Pyrex top would start gurgling and sputtering liquid into my mouth when it got to about 1/3rd full. The Tatroe starts gurgling when there are a few drops left, but continues to vape until the tank is empty.
3. Use you own drip tip.
4. SS, so basically shatter-proof. The only remaining issue is the known problem with the base itself, but this is a problem regardless of top.
5. Only drawback is you cannot see how much liquid you have left - which is why I want to have at least 2-3 in my arsenal.
Note, this is my base with my Tatroe. I have a second Tatroe coming, and I will be attaching it to my one existing base to see if it has the same performance. I also want to get a few more bases and swap them around. If the performance is consistent, this will be my perfect solution - no expensive Genesis attys needed for me - along with my eBaron Pro for dripping.

They are with the gasket on the photo. Do they really come with the gasket included?

Yes, I take all my own pictures except when my camera dies, but yes that is an actual photo of the base I carry it has the white seal.
Yeah, forget it, DV don't ship to Germany...
sorry, most countries are still off the list, tons of fraud from Asia, South America and Russia.
But Germany and Italy because 75% of all packages in the two moths prior to removing them from the list did not make it to their destination (Italy was closer to 90%) whether that was due to actual non deliveries or something else going on I do not know but it was costing us a lot to refund "lost" shipments.
