I apologize for posting this here but I don't have enough posts to put it in a more appropriate place. Y'all have a great forum and everyone seems to be very helpful.

I just love my protank and I really need them since I prefer the more toxic juices. The problem I am having is with the gasket that sits on top of the long post on the addy. I just love banana juice but in less than a day it misshapes the gasket. When it first occured I thought it migjt have been just a bad gasget so I changed the addy and it did it again. After a couple of days the first gasket appeared to shrink back down to its original size so I put that addy back in only to have my protank start to leak after a few hours in. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Does anyone have a solution? The only thing I know to do is contact a vendor and see if I could get a supply of gasgets but my friend dizzylizzy suggested I post the problem here, so that is what I am doing.

Many thanks in advance for any assistance tjat can be sent my way.

I will do my best to post a pic later today. The gasket increases in size to the point it slides down the post and will completely cover the wick. Now i have taken it out and washed it and let it dry. It does shrink back down in size some to make ot usuable but after 2 or three days of this the gasket is shot but the coil is still good. I appreciate the responses. :)

I don't have an answer for you. You might check a local Harbor Freight Tools or just walk into your local hardware store if you have one. ACE franchises really do have helpful people. Show them the gasket and see what they say. Harbor freight sells o-rings, gaskets and the like in larger assorted packs.

You bring up and interesting point here. One of the Kanger Protank's selling points is hey, it's made out Pyrex, so stick your cinnamon and citrus in one. But does it matter if the 1 cent gasket is going to melt away?

Thanks for posting this. I have not run into that. I thought they are made of silicone which would not be prone to doing that obviously they are not. If you have any old CE rebuildable heads the kind that have a small hole on top you may try trimming one see if they do the same thing. Disappointed they do that. Sounds like with they have two problems to fix. This and the base 510 thread breakage. One other suggestion is a different mfg on the juice or if your DIYing try a different flavor MFG. There is a list of tank melter vendors on here you may be able to find one that is not so harsh.
