I bought a Kanger PT II and after about a week it started to have that familiar burnt taste. I changed the coil and got the same exact taste. I have gone through five coils in a week with no improvement and even took it to my local vape shop and they have no idea what is wrong with it. It taste good for the first day and then burnt the next. Any ideas???

Are you using the coil that came with it? If so, you can look on the bottom of the coil and see resistance in ohms.

Also what voltage are you vaping on?

The reason I am asking you this is because if you are on really high voltage or wattage ( depending if your mod has wattage ) and you have a low resistance coil you will get a burnt taste.

Example, if I am using a 1.8ohms and vape at a voltage higher than 4.0, I personally start getting a burnt taste. It depends also on the juice. At 1.8 ohms I am usually vaping between 3.6 - 3.8

My coil is a 1.5 I think.

With the current kanger bcc style heads, you generally can't go much higher than 8 watts without burning things. They just don't have the airflow and wicking efficiency. This means your maximum voltage should be about 3.5V with a 1.5 ohm head.

I would try the 2.2 ohm heads for a quick fix. It is also possible you have juice that is extra sensitive to heat. What juice, pg/vg, etc? I have found that ratios around 60/40 work best in my evods, but that is just from a wicking efficiency standpoint.
