I got my first Protank II on Friday and the store I bought it from assembled and filled it for me before I left the store. Everything was fine until it was time to refill. I'm changing flavors a lot since I'm just starting so I have been taking it apart to rinse before refilling. Now, when I put it back on the battery if I screw it all the way down, it's not making a connection. If I back it off some, it will fire. But the amount I have to unscrew it varies and sometimes it's so much it feels loose. I've noticed that if I reassemble it a bit looser, that helps but I am afraid the thing is going to come apart and dump juice everywhere. I'm also not getting much vapor at all. The coils are 2.5 and I am using an ego twist set at about 4.0. Any higher than that and I get a burnt taste. I really want to like this tank but I'm getting frustrated. What could be the problem?

I've read that some folks remove the center section and take out part of the flavor wick which sits on top the coil. Then, replace the center section and try it. The trick is removing just enough of the flavor wick so it draws better but not so much of it that it floods and gurgles. I've watched grimmgreen do this on youtube. Too, many, many people have issues with the PT2 either giving dry hits or gurgling. I'm still on my first original coil in my PT2, running 100%VG and every now and then I'll get a dry hit. When that happens, I'll do a couple quick hard pulls without pushing the power button and watch the air bubbles rise out of the bottom. After that, it's good to go...for a while.
