Kanger ProTank II Mini Versions What the H????

I just got my second PTM today, the first one stated it was a V2. The second one diffident state at all so I figured it was the V1 without the removable drip tip. My understanding is that there are only 2 versions but check this out!!!
The one on the left is the PTM V2. look closely ate the bases..... ...?????



Both are authentic Kangertech, came in sealed box's, both have removable drip tips but the one on the right is taller V1. Did I get a mutant proto type first run tank from the back of the warehouse or what? I got them both on eBay, different sellers. the fill holes at the bottom the tank are smaller too on the V1 (right).



Any ideas on what I have and what the deal is?

There are many clone products, Chinese factory is genius, they can do anything if they saw what you have. HEHE, anyway, I don't care about this, all the products nowaday are made in PRC. I have some clone T3 but it work great.

I hate to break it to you, but I think you got some fakes.

The one on the right does not look right.

I have four Mini PT 2's that I bought from an authorized retailer over three different transactions and they all match the one on the left.

I purchased some "authentic" Mini PT 1's from fasttech, and then later realized they were fake. They had substandard heads, and they broke within 3 weeks (the glass cracked). I compared my last available "fake" PT1 with some real ones I got from my retailer, and lo and behold, I noticed similar differences. The "fake" was taller and had more "glass area" then the real one.

That being said. It is POSSIBLE, that with the advent of the Mini PT 3 dual head BDC's they might have changed their manufacturing. It's possible that the Mini PT 2 and Mini PT 3 have the same internals.

I would need to see a Mini PT 3 and compare it to your Mini PT 2.

By the way, I have 4 Mini PT 2 v1's WITHOUT a removable drip tip and they look exactly like the one on the left, so the glass mounting collar on the V1's and V2's are identical.

I've never seen the one on the right.....

Here are the box's that came in. V2 has scratcher type S# and the "V1" has a Kanger hologram sticker I had to cut through.



If it a fake, its a dam good one.
I should probably email "The Man" for conformation. Filling the "V1" mutant is a PITA (Pain In The ...) as the holes on the bottom of the tank are much smaller.
