definitely a good looking tank but way too expensive for me. i've spent way too much on this already since i started about 6 months ago. and i thought i would save money vaping :D

LOL saving money depends on how much you were spending before you started vaping ;) i quit keepin track after a while, so the amount saved in my sig isnt right, it would be if i had stopped buying vaping gear and upgrades about 6-7 months ago but its not lol

so far.... from the purchases that i can remember off the top of my head i've got about 1100 spent on mods/rbas/cartos/carto tanks/wire/mesh/juice/diy supplies/batteries lol im sure there are more purchases i could add to it if i went through my receipts and statements but im not worried about it

Some folks won't use juice made in USA because it might not be made in totally sanitary conditions. I wouldn't pay that kind of money for a tank made in the USA because the guy making them out in the garage probably hasn't considered how to keep it from leaking. Why else would they sell a tank with a DIY bottom?

And probably a lot tougher. The glass tanks are nice but 1 good drop and the parties over.
Mine has survived on solid drop and a few slippery fingers drops. It has a crack but isn't leaking... Yet.

This may be a bit pricy but it would be worth it. On my wish list for sure. :)

I posted this in another thread but will repost it here. Since I am local, I went to the store and I purchased two of these. They are bigger and heavier but with a standard sized drip tip, it's only about 4mm (less than 1/4 inch) taller. I don't have my calibers but it can't be much more than 1 or 2mm larger at the widest point around the top ring. Where it mounts to the bottom cap, it's the same size. I have them on my X6's and they balance perfectly. I actually like the little extra weight and they are still pocket friendly with an ego style battery. They actually look like it was design specifically for the X6 (they weren't) because of the similar designs. The machining is beautifully done and the threading is what I would call buttery smooth. The drip tip snaps right into place solidly and the gapping at the bottom is perfect. Since its made from surgical stainless steel, no worries about vaping from it. The vaping is no different than the Pyrex tank, same clean taste. FYI, I went there intending to buy the smooth but ended up getting the grooved because I like the tactile feel so much. There is no leaking.

On a side note, they have evod replacement heads for a $1.00 that work perfectly with the Protank and tighten up the draw. $1.00!

Also I'd note, these aren't made in someone's garage. They are made by a machinist who specializes in this type of work.

I bought a Protank along with some replacement heads about a month ago. At first I did not like it at all. The draw was like sucking air through an open ended toilet paper tube. After fooling with the air holes and adjusting the way I hit on it, I found it to give a nice strong vape. Much more vapor than my Vivi Nova minis or Vision V3s. However, mine does have leaking issues. I have yet to get through a full tank without it soaking up my battery. I have replaced the head twice now and same problem. I think there is an issue with the gasket under the wicks. Until someone here can suggest a fix for that, I would not want to spend the money for steel tank that would probably do the same.

Someone has already said that they were far more impressed with the amount of leaking with the metal tank vs the pyrex. I also think it's pretty hit or miss with these. You can have a KPT in each hand and they may perform differently...

I got mine today and I love the look and feel and all but it doesn't work... I guess the "experienced" machinist took the day off when they made mine... The air hole is not drilled wide enough so the head will not fit down the middle (hold the jokes) when you try to screw in the base.
