Kanger protank recoil with brass mesh instead of ss

First post as I have only just joined the forum , I have a provari and have been recoiling my self with silica wick and wire but have just ordered some ss mesh and kanthal ribbon as I saw you can set up the protank this way , avidly waiting fir these to arrive but I'm inpatient and was wondering can I use brass mesh to recoil as I have some of this all ready and can't find if this is safe / possible , thanks in advance for any help and guidance

I would not make a coil with brass mesh. If I remember correctly brass releases some very bad chemicals when reacting with liquid. I don't know if it releases the chemicals when just sitting in liquid or when heated but... No! Wait until you have the proper materials and be safe!

Brass if made from zinc and copper. Heat up brass, releases the zinc. You will get zinc poising.

The brass is in the bin !! , glad I joined and asked instead of jumping in and trying !
