Are you priming the coil by dripping juice into the coil from the top? The only time the Subtank Mini has leaked on me through the air control ring was when I over primed the coil by dripping too much juice into the top of the coil. It dripped through the bottom of the coil and leaked out through the air openings. Since then I prime the coils predominantly by putting a drop of juice onto each wicking hole, wait for it to soak in, and then repeat about 4 or 5 more times. I will put just two drops down the top of the coil with the coil tilted to one side, so the drop soaks the cotton on the side and not in the dead center of the coil. Then screw the coil into the tank, let it sit for 5 minutes and take a few unpowered draws with my fingers covering the air intakes.

Haven't leaked since.

That is REALLY through but I think if you are going to let it sit 5 minutes, then you don't need to wick the sides 5 or 6 times. When you let it sit, the sides will be well wicked. But tilting when dropping from the top is a good idea though, I am going to use it :)

I called my local shop and they are $120. I like to support local business but that is more than I am willing to pay.

Wow! That is insane. I can't think of any other products that get the markup vape gear does. Most things I buy online save me 5-10 dollars after shipping but for some reason with vape gear the markup is always 100% or more. I want to support the local shops but whenever I try the markup is so painful I can't do it.

Exactly. I don't remember, and I don't want to go back and find the receipt to find out, what I spent on my original Evod 2/Ego C-Twist kit and the Kanger Subtank Nano/iStick 30. I think I'd rather not know how much I overpaid for those, honestly. I will go there for coils now and occasionally a liquid, but I can't swing a markup that high for the Subox.

I spent about 120 for a spinner an aerotank and a bottle of juice when I got started. Luckily I discovered the online vaping world soon after. The site I usually buy from is sometimes a few bucks more than the cheapest price but I'll pay a few bucks extra to support a good company not a few hundred extra.

Same, I went and held it and it was nice, I liked it, I wanted it but I wasn't about to pay double for it......

Waiting for the White ones to be in stock anywhere online....

The new Subox has some major flaws in my opinion.

For one, the 510 connection is thin and cheap, and is NOT spring loaded......wtf. It looks like it will strip out easily, like the iStick 20.

The new OCC heads cannot be taken apart like the previous heads with the removable top. Personally, I like rebuilding the heads instead of buying new ones.

The new RBA has high holes, so the tanks has to be refilled before it's empty.

It only fires down to .3 ohms.

Just some thoughts......

So is that sort of the standard markup for most brick and mortar shops to sell things at nearly double the online cost? I realize they have costs that are greater than online-only vendors. I'm just curious if other shops are that high. I called a couple other local shops but they didn't know what I was talking about when I asked about the Subox.

Well, I went to a b & m to get a Kanger Sub Tank Mini and it was $47.00, took a pass and ordered online for for $28.00...

I'm happy to hear that the Subox is working out for everyone for the most part. Sounds like there are some glitches, but that's always going to happen.people sharing their experience with these new products is why this forum is so great, and I thank all of you who took the time to do so.

I was really on the fence because of the ceramic coating inside, if the rba section was going to be totally different etc. etc. but there doesn't appear to be any issues.
