Kanger says they can use NiCr in TC mode.

Yes they do say that on their website and the flyers but I'm just scratching my head as to why it isn't mentioned in this chart is all. I've been using the old Red OCCs on my subox mini for 3 months now and I just found they are Nicrhome and not Kanthal.

I got my new topbox mini kit last week and I'm really confused not only by their wording but by what coils can be used in what modes.

Here is what I thought:
Kanthal - VW
Nichrome - TC and VW???
Nickle -TC only
SS - TC and VW?

According to that chart I've been vaping on Nichrome for 3 months in VW mode on my subox. Is this safe? Is Nichrome also used for VW mode after all?

Sorry for the confusion, obviously I still need to get this straight once and for all.

I have never tried it, but that is my understanding. I know you are right about Kanthal, Nickel and Stainless.

they use nichrome wire in the coils for their protank coils as well and they are safe on VW mode or even an unregulated mod.nichrome is used in a lot of low power factory coils
