Kanger SubTank Leaking

Y'all probably know about this already, but just in case...

If your Kanger SubTank is leaking, check to make sure the very bottom red O-ring is installed with the curved side UP. Fixed mine!

This is good to know. Cleaned mine for the 1st time yesterday and the base o-ring came off. Must have put it back on correctly as its not leaked

Anyone had any issues with it leaking from the intake holes and not the tank base? Mine seems to at times. Didn't know if it was a thinner juice, bad o-ring on the replaceable coils or what.

I had that problem too but I have a huge collection of o-rings. I was able to find a replacement for the bottom recessed o-ring. I think I got a 1.0 version as the bottom ring was flat on both sides. Once I put a proper round and thick o-ring in and tightened it down the leaking problem went away. Kind of annoying but the tank is cheaper than dirt for what you get so I'm not all that upset but you think they'd find this stuff in testing and QC.

Actually, I had the same problem but its not leaking at the base. The juice comes out the bottom of the glass and gets wicked in behind the air control ring and drops down through the holes and along the bottom of the a/c ring. Once you get a viable replacement for the bottom o-ring, the problem goes away. At least thats been my experience.

What do you think of this tank? I have the Atlantis, and have been deciding if I am going to make the switch or not. I like the size of the Kanger Mini Subtank better than the 5 mL Atlantis..

I love the Subtank, better flavor than the Atlantis at lower wattage.

Went out o run some errands this afternoon. Left my mod/Subtank in the glove compartment while I shopped for about 30 min. Grabbed it when I got back in the car and the box was pretty cold even though its 43F here today. Let it warm up in my hand and took a few draws after a few minutes. Went into another store and this time took it with me. Pulled the mod out of my pocket while leaving the store 30 min later and noticed a stream of juice coming from the bottom of the Atty base. Got home and unscrewed it, bottom of base was covered with juice.

Everything was secured and the base oring was curved side up. Something going on with temp changes that is causing my subtank to leak.

I'm having a huge problem.

First time poster here. Sorry if I am bumping an old thread, I'm not sure how fast these forums move and this seems to only be a week old.

I bought a Kanger Subtank (full size) last Wednesday and have had nothing but praise for it. The flavor is amazing and even using the stock coils the vapor was amazing. Today I decided I would attempt to rebuild the OCC coil heads. I've seen videos about how to do so, and I have all the materials so I gave it a shot. When I completed the build, I put everything back together properly and took a few hits. I barely got any vapor and noticed a large amount of juice spitting into my mouth, as well as a VERY loud gurgling sound. All of a sudden, there is a ton of juice coming out of my air intake holes. If I blow through the mouthpiece and hold a paper towel to the air holes, almost 1/5 of the juice in the tank comes spitting out.

What's going on? I've checked the o-rings OVER AND OVER for hours, as well as rebuilding the RTA module AND both OCC coils FOUR TIMES EACH. Nothing changes this leaking problem, and I had never even HEARD of this thing leaking until I decided to do this. What the hell did I screw up? I've flipped o-rings, and made sure everything was tightly fit. I've heard about problems creating a vacuum inside the tube, but cannot imagine why my rebuilding of the OCC/RTA coils would have ANYTHING to do with this. I am of course using organic cotton pads as instructed, as well as 26g Kanthal and IMR batteries in a sub-ohm capable mod. I'm extremely disappointed and beyond frustrated with this thing.

Only leaking issues I had were from not screwing in the coils tight enough...they need to be tight to keep from leaking into the collar and out of the airflow holes...

Mine floods also but its a Kanger they all do. Someone said the Mini dose not flood as much in a different thread. I use the Smok VCT over the Kanger I run the dual coil head and it has not flooded once I leave the coils attached to the chimney and fill to the top. Ive dropped it knocked it over lots its bent and dented and still blowing clouds.

Yes,I've had that issue.I have not had heavy leakage,but it's enough I can't see buying another just yet.Wondering if this is why I see them for sale here on the forum ? A shame because the flavor and vapor are great.

I have 4 subtank mini's and none have ever flooded...only a few leaks when the coil was not screwed in tight enough. I have not used the rba section yet though...

Must be a hit and miss problem.I have the mini.Tightened coil as much as possible without stripping threads,still leaks.Nothing major but enough to be an annoyance. Definitely weeping out of airflow holes.Not the tank seals.I'm going to try the Nano soon.I don't need the rebuild-able coil.Hopefully it won't leak.

Sounds to me like not enough wick. If the wick is not thick enough it will let more juice in to the chamber making it flood and leak
