Hello everyone,
I just ordered an Eleaf 100 watt box mod today to step up from the Ego One that I got a little while ago. I have the Kanger Subtank Mini and I ordered some pre-wrapped 0.5 ohm coils as I am still struggling with building coils correctly. I ordered a pack of 10 0.5 ohm micro coils with some organic cotton. I have the RBA base with the tank and I was wondering if my box mod could handle dual 0.5 ohm coils? It says it supports 0.15-5.0 ohms and a voltage range of 2.0-10v. Could it handle the two low ohm coils?

For a regulated mod, in VW mode, you calculate the max current draw as Max Amps = Max Wattage/Min Battery Voltage. 100 watts/3.2volts = 31.25A

If you had two 20A CDR batteries your iStick could handle it.

The question then becomes can you fit 2 of your purchased coils in the RBA base and get them wicking well enough to not get dry hits.

In short, yes the mod can handle a dual coil config, as its minimum Ohm resistance it can handle allows it, as well as its circuit amp limitation allows it.

Dual coil in the RBA section of your subtank, the coils will need to small enough to fit next to each other in the deck, ie 1.5 to 1.0mm inner diameter depending on wire gauge, or you need to wrap the coils in parallel config, wrapping two coils into a single coil, both wire side by side as you wrap the coil. Presently I have on subtank wrapped parallel in a vertical config with 28awg at 0.9 ohms
