Kanger T3 not working on eVic

I just received some new Kanger T3's in the mail and my eVic will not register them. However, they will work on my ego-T batteries, but they are tasting a bit burnt. I've tested 5 coils on it now and same thing on all of them. However... I have two other Kanger T3's that I've been using on both the eVic and the ego-t's for a couple of weeks now with great results.Any thoughts on what the issue might be? Is there something not making contact on the Evic that is making contact on the ego-t's? I noticed there is what may/may not be a set screw on the bottom of the T3 coil head. Do they come from the factory screwed all the way down and I need to back it off or something?

check out the video review for the evic on tasteyoujuice.com I seem to recall phil having something to say about the t3 not working properly on the evic. The "screw" on the bottom of the t3 is not a screw at all so do not turn it you will just end up destroying the coil inside. Hope this helps.

It does, help... kind of.
Still wondering why the first two T3's I got work on it though... weird.
Found out the hard way about the 'not a set screw'...
Thanks!

What you are looking at is not a 'set screw', but is in fact the positive contact post.
You will need to -ever so sightly- pull the contact post out a very little...try a 1/6"
See if it makes contact...think it will, mine did a couple of weeks ago.
(same story- works on my twists, not on my eVic) pulling out a little made it register.

Now, decided my eVic gets the Vision ET rba, Twists get the Kanger T3s
Hope this helps !

Yeah. Probably just use this as a temp fix. I'm guessing if you come out to far, there's a danger of damaging the coil just like twisting it.

It is not a temp fix it is adjusting for fit. Different devices have the center contact at different heights. Even tightening a clearo down to tight can push the pin up and it will not work on some other battery.
That is why they are made to move.
Kanger had a big batch of T3's with the center pin set to high from the factory, but easy to correct.

As for burnt taste, if you let your T3 sit for a bit to wick before using, It could be that you will need to remove one of the flavor wicks over the coil.

Thanks for the clarification and tip :)

I just ran into this problem as well. First two T3s I bought worked fine on my evic. No adjustment needed. Just got some replacement coils and rebuilt two T3s I have. First one worked for a while then stopped. Second one didn't work at all. I don't have any needle nose pliers so I had to use a dropper cap with a needle tip to pull the connector out a little on the T3s. That did the trick. Pulled it out just enough so the resistance for both were about 2.4~2.5. Noticed the further you pull the connector out the higher the resistance goes. Figured going over 2.5 was bad.

Wonder if its possible that the battery connector on the eVic is stuck or I somehow pushed it down when I was cleaning juice off of it.

Anyways thinking of buying a nova with my next order and seeing if that works any better on the eVic. Might relegate my T3s to my twist if that pans out.
