Kanger T3 Questions

Hi All,
First of all I just got 2- Kanger T3's, I so love these, that and an 900 mah Ego Twist and Im just about in heaven. So my question is when do you know to change out the coil? Do you wait for a burnt taste or do the wicks get black looking?

Also is that the only thing that you change ie: I tried to twist off the black mouth piece and couldnt get it off, but I didnt force it though. Is there anything that needs changing up there?

Hi Sunny...I have the T2's but I believe on the T3's they are filled from the bottom. I don't think the mouthpiece comes off. I'm sure someone more knowledgeable on these will chime in.

Thanks meocoina for your reply, yes the T3's fill from the bottom. I figured the mouth piece prob didnt come off since I was having a time of it trying to turn it. HA.

The bottom piece is what you replace. You will know when to change, bad taste, little to no vapor...

If you like the T3 wait until you start seeing the MT3 (T3 with metal covers). There is a co-op going on now for them, get verified and take a look.

Don't throw that T3 away just yet! Every 2 or 3 tanks, take the T3 apart, and clean and dry burn it. It should last quite a long time. Unscrew the bottom, take off the silicone seal, pull off the long metal stem, and rinse everything well under hot water. Set it aside to dry overnight. Screw the bottom onto your battery and push the button in. Hold for 5 or 6 seconds. Let off the button. Blow on the coil. Repeat several times until the coil is able to glow brightly and you can see the individual coils while the button is pushed. DO NOT blow on the coils while they are hot; it will cause them to overheat and burn out.

Reassemble everything and the T3 should perform aslmost as good as new. You may need to do this every couple tanks with dark juice, or maybe only once a week on light colored juice.

Mouthpiece on the T3 does not screw off, as you've already figured out. That proprietary mouthpiece arrangement is probably my biggest complaint with Kanger products. Other than that, The T2 and T3 are pretty good. lots of folks whine about the threading; just get an adapter, it still looks good.

I've been using my original T3 for 12 (yes, twelve) weeks. I rinse it out before every refill and dry-burn after 3 - 4 refills.
It seems like it's going to last forever.

I don't want to completely give up on my T3s. I have been using a pretty dark juice in mine and having little to no vapor. I'm using a Cafe Coffee, 60pg/40vg mix. Can this be causing my problems? Should I just soak the heads in some alcohol, dry, and dry burn? Will this work?
