Are there any "mods" that the vets do to this tank to improve vapor production? I seem to remember with the Kanger Pro Tank, the trick was to remove one of the 3 wicks in the coil or something like that. Here's the story:

I got a starter kit from a local vendor. It appears to be mostly no-name stuff. eGo-style battery, 2 tanks, some cartos and a case. Later the same day I happened upon another B&M store, and I picked up an eGo-T "upgrade" 1100mAh battery and a Kanger T3 tank. I immediately filled up the T3 tank and tossed it on the new eGo-T (beautiful combination, by the way) .. and it seems, with both juices I've tried so far, I'm not getting nearly as much vapor from that tank as I'm getting with the "no-name" tanks that I got with my starter kit. I thought the T3 (Kanger stuff in general) was pretty close to the Cadillac of tanks. Is there anything I can do to improve the performance of this tank? For what it's worth, it's the "clear" tank so I believe the coil is a higher resistance. Should I get lower resistance coils maybe? I've tried both voltage settings on the eGo-T, doesn't seem to make much difference. Any advice?

Yeah, I hear what you're saying. For the same reason, among others, I use the Protank and evod a lot more frequently. However, the amount of VG in your juice can change vapor production, more than a clearo change can. Finding that perfect flavor, vapor, throat hit....well, that's the question, isn't it? This Vape Quest can become all consuming. Easiest way to get there is through a juice change and variable voltage. Next, a clearomizer change...try cartos and of course, the more advanced devices like RBA's are fog machines. Vape Quest is part of the fun of this hobby, keeps me interested, spending money, and enjoying. If everything worked perfect for me, I might not need this Forum....and, there's a tradeoff for the tradeoffs in Vape World. Great question, others will add to this, congrats on quitting, happy shopping, Power Up and Vape On!

My experience with T3's is that the coil resistance (ohms) varies over the stated number. You may need more power to produce the desired vape than your fixed voltage eGo style battery can provide (usually 3.2 - 3.7 v). Also, what crxess mentions about PG/VG ratio of juice.

Welcome , and I use Kanger T3's all the time , and actually think they put out tons of vapor for a clearomizer . So either your battery doesn't have enough power , or the ohm rating on the coil is too high . As said above , try it on a big battery type devce . I use a 50/50 mix of juices and get loads of vapor on them > I do use them on Ego's , but they are the Twists , not the standard one's .

Make sure the coil is tightened. These often come from the factory with the coil a bit loose. I have had this problem with the EVOD and the Pro Tank. Tightened up, work great. Also, my Pro Tank needs a bit more priming (don't know if anyone else has this issue). First draw is very light. I sometimes hold the button for a count of 4 before I start to draw. That helps a lot. However, holding it too long without drawing has caused a burnt taste...guess they need airflow to keep the wick from getting dry at the coil. Once my Pro Tank coil was tightened, it solved a l lot of the problems I was having with it. Now it is quickly becoming my favorite.
