Well, I'm mostly a dripper...and when I can't drip (driving, etc) then I've used dual-coil low res cartos. But over the past few months cartos have become really hit or miss--at least for me. So I was thrilled when the vivis came out. If dripping is a benchmark 100 in VTF, then the vivis were 85 flavor, 100 throat hit (which isn't really important to me) and 100% vapor...just a bit better than the best cartos I've used, which typically fell in the 60-75 flavor range with some near 80. But I did have the occasional dry hit with thicker juices with the vivis. The T3s have moved even closer in the flavor department. I rate them 90-95 flavor, 90 throat hit (a slightly cooler vape) and 100 vapor. I love 'em.

If the quality remains consistent, I'll stick with these a good long while. I've been rotating through two of them the past two weeks and have run about 18-22mls through each and have only cleaned them both out once. I've had no dry hits at all, even with Sweet Caroline from iVape.net which is about 70vg/30pg. No leaking or other issues as some have reported. I have had to take some cellophane tape to one of the air holes in the knurled skirt (it has three) because it was too airy of a draw for me. Other than that, I'm way impressed.

Jazzbo,

Great job on the SS rebuild of the T-3. I've been rebuilding the T-3 for a while now using kanthal and cheese cloth. Definitely much easier then rebuilding the T-2 atty's for sure.

I've been very happy with the results. Was wondering what benefits the SS mesh has. I can understand that it would last longer but not sure about saturation rate. I vape only VG and make my wicks a little loose.

My CC wicks usually last about a week with no issues.

Also not really clear on how to oxidize the SS.

The SS wick actually seems to work pretty good with juices I've tried it on all the way up to 100%vg, though my normal juices are either 70/30pg/vg or 70/30 vg/pg...not much in between.

Thanks Jazzbo,
Looks easy enough, I'll give it a try.

I'm smoking 100% VG so I may need to experiment a little with the SS.

Any link to a source for the mesh.

TIA,

Mike

What is the enchant of the SS wicks? I found out that for some vapers this is a "must to have" property... but of what I have researched is that it takes long time to prime it the first week tastes metallic (...), for a common atty a coil head lasts like 3 weeks... how long the ss mesh coils last? what is the catch on these?
