I treat all my tanks the same. For the tank itself rinse with warm water then with some everclear. The heads either get boiled in water for 10 minutes then everclear rinse, or just rinse with everclear depending on how dirty and what I feel like doing. If i feel like tinkering, a dry burn of the head after removing the silicone gasket and top cap. Maybe replace the "flavor wicks" if they look gunked up.

The everclear will mix with any leftover water and evaporate quickly -- ready to vape in like 5 minutes or less.

When I clean mine, I just rinse out the body with warm water. I take the head completely apart. I hold the two top wicks in tweezers and rinse them out under slowly running hot water (fast water tends to pull strands out of the tweezers). Then I hold the head with just the coil wick under hot water holding it with the tweezers. If the coil is gunked up, I'll dry burn it at this point, and repeat as necessary. Then put everything back together dry burn a couple times just to dry the wicks, refill and good to go...

+1 for what HOPS said, although I tend not to take everything apart. Just a hot water rinse every 2-4 tanks (depending if the juice is colored, these tend to gunk up my coils faster) then a quick shake and blot dry. If you want you can do a quick dry burn as mentioned previously, but I only do this every 3-5 days or so.

For a dry burn, all you need to do is put the head on your battery without the body (you can remove the silicone cap too if you want)
Press the fire button for 3-4 seconds while gently blowing on it. Keep doing this until you see no white vapor and the coils (look down through the hole) glow evenly.
Then make sure you give it a final hot water rinse. Shake, pat dry, fill, vape, enjoy... you get the idea - life is good when it vapes well.
There is a slight chance you can pop a coil doing a dry burn, so always make sure you have a back up head available if you do one.

In my experience make sure you give the threads a good clean with a paper towel to remove any juice, and I use a q-tip / cotton bud to put down the drip tip to make sure all is nice and clean in there too.

You don't boil the tank that will ruin it for sure, they were talking about boiling the head assembly.

I don't boil any part of anything.
I remove the 'tank' from the base and rinse both under hot water, then fill with PGA a shake vigorously holding fingers over top and bottom to prevent PGA bath repeat a couple times then give a couple quick 1 ~2 second dry burns then rinse with PGA again, let dry 5 ~ 20 minutes fill and vape.

I've got T3-Minis, and frankly, one of the things I like MOST about them is that I've found that most of the cleaning procedure has been unnecessary. I run em under hot water, run hot water through the tube, squeeze the little wick-nubs. Then I let 'em dry for like a day.
That's it. No alcohol, no burn...

Maybe if i was trying to completely get rid of a horrible juice or something I'd go the extra steps...but I haven't been...

Another thing I found very convenient - when one of the heads started to "go" - it just wasn't hitting as well anymore - I found it simple and easy to just swap it out for a new one - mid-stream, while full.

I've now got that T3 Mini "neck and neck" with the EVOD for my favored clearo.

Okay, that is a lot of work, and as a newbie I also use the kanger T3 so you can throw the bottom coil away when its burned out or leaking. Will it ruin the tank if you don't boil it and use everclear?
That can get expensive real fast, especially dumping the whole head assembly if it leaks. Leaks are easy to deal with by replacing the flavor wick with a couple strands of 1 mm silica or a small cotton wick you can make yourself.

Highly recommend that current T3 owners upgrade their tanks by buying a T3S base heads. Far less expensive to replace the screw in coil assembly than replacing the whole head of a T3. Also easier to recoil because you don't have to fiddle around working the insulator back into place inside the eGo threading. JMO I got my T3S bases at SunVapers Kanger T3S base will allow you to use the T3S heads in the Kanger T3
