So I have several different clearos. Aspire nautilus, evod, iclear30, iclear30s, vision victory 5ml bcc, protank1, ismoka bcc mega, kanger T3s and maybe a couple more I'm forgetting. Anyways I have to say that as far as vapor production goes the T3S with a good coil is hard to beat for an out of the box clearo. The nautilus is an excellent tank, and with a fresh coil gives the T3S a run for its money, might even beat it by a little. I have been using the Nautilus almost exclusively since I got it a few weeks ago but decided yesterday to clean up the T3s and give it a dry burn to run some MBV Butterscotch in and it just works great. I've never had a problem with it and I like the fact that it's so small yet still holds 3ml. Anyone else out there really like the T3S? I have to say that and the evod are my favorite Kanger products out there. I really don't like my protank at all and have been considering getting an aerotank base for it. For the $5 if it works it would be worth it. Honestly the protank was an impulse type of buy and I haven't used it since the day I got it.

I used the Smokeless Image version of the T3. The full size was a mess. Leaked constantly and one time let lose like a gusher down my battery while I was driving. Last time I ever used it. The minis were better and when they worked they worked great. But they were too finicky and the heads didn't seem to last very long. And if you don't use them for a few days they get alot of gurgling. Though I read a tip that storing them upside down prevented that. Which it did.

I too have tried many besides the T3. The Aspire ET BDC, Mini Nova BDC, Vivi Nova BDC, Vision Mini and Vivi Nova, iClear 16, 30 and 30S. With that being said I feel the same way about the Kanger T2 as you do about the T3. Very reliable. Excellent flavor and vapor and the heads seem to last forever. I used the Triton version and now that I am using an MVP 2 I just placed an order for 5 T2's and 5 extra heads. Can't wait to get them. Hard to beat the price too. Five tanks and five extra heads for $26.95 shipped. That is less than the price of one Nautilus or the same as a PT3 and a few extra heads.

The T3 seems to be a love it or hate it. Many people swear by them. Others want to melt them down into a pool of metal and plastic. LOL

I absolutely agree. After I re-wicked the coils with cotton on my T3S, it consistently hits like a champ and gives me a TON of vapor. Some people may not like how airy the draw is but I like it and if I don't want such an airy draw, I cover one of the holes, no bigs! I constantly switch between my T3S and my PT Mini 2 throughout the day.

Myself, I have always liked the Kanger T2. I guess the only downside to the T2 is that it is a top fed coil.

I keep reading about the various other models of the Kanger T series clearomizers having problems with leaking ... but the T2 has never had leaking problems.

I am now thinking about replacing my T2 with a T3S (bottom fed coil), but is the T3S really any better than the reliable little T2 ? ?

I have 2 T3S tanks, and 2 MT3S, and I love them all.

I also have a Mini Protank II, and recently got a Hypertank2, and both of those use the "universal" protank coils.

Here's my question: Does anyone else notice a flavor difference, between the 2 types of coils? This morning I was vaping on my new Hypertank2, getting plenty of vapor, but the flavor seemed kinda muted; I just figured it was my weird recuperating taste buds. Then I got some vapemail, which included a new Stainless MT3S, so I washed it up, filled it up, and gosh it looks terrific on my new Sigelei Zmax v3 -- and the very 1st hit, suddenly I could taste it again!

Why is the taste so different? The coils aren't really all that different; both made by Kanger, roughly the same size; visually there's not a whole lot of diff between them, so why do the PT coils seem to mute the flavor so much?

Another part of my question is, I'm considering either an Aerotank, or a Nautilus, but given my experience so far with Protank coils, I'm leaning hard away from the Aerotank; I noticed the OP mentioned that the Nautilus provides a vape similar to the T3S, or maybe even better, so would I be happier with that, than the Aerotank? Just not loving the non-taste I get from the protank coils.

Thx

I'd love to hear about your Nautilus experience (sorry--got to the thread late!). I, too, love my MT3s, but recently cracked one with some sauce that I couldn't pass up (papaya/lychee). I received a PT3 Mini yesterday and, having just received a bunch of T3S/MT3S coils, tried one in the PT3 Mini (the dual coil for the PT3Mini and the MT3 coils are the same height). I don't have a PT2 Mini, so I can't say if they'd work, but... I also have some Evod Glass tanks coming--I hope they're close to the MT3 in performance and capacity (they're supposedly larger than the original Evod, so here's hoping!).

I apologize I didn't reply sooner. I don't have a lot of experience with the different coils but I do love the Nautilus though. Mine has been pretty much flawless honestly and it's pretty much all I use anymore.

Condolences on your departed MT3S.

This afternoon I decided it was time to quit procrastinating, and dove headfirst into the rebuilding pool, and the very first one I did was one of my protank ("universal") coils, because I get so little taste from them. The result seemed iffy at first, but I did a couple things to it, and it got better, and I have to say that it's most flavor I've EVER experienced from a protank-type device. Then I did a couple of T3S coils; one turned out ok, but didn't hit the high-ohms I wanted; the other tested to 3.5 ohms, which is great, but I used cotton in that one, and I just don't like the taste. So tomorrow I'll pull it back apart and replace the cotton with silica, and that should be a great coil. Since I'm getting that nautilus for the new sigelei, I expect I'll just continue to use the xT3S's with my vv3's and Twist, and with the vv3's only being 800mAh, the battery savings from the high resistance coil should be really helpful, not having to keep it on a leash (pass-thru) all the time.

I wouldn't have thought you could use T3S coils in a PT3, since the PT3 is a dual coil, but what do I know. I just got to this party a couple months ago. :D

That's good to know; I found the most amazing sale on them today, I just could NOT pass it up -- $28.95!!! Can you believe that?!? I really needed a monster of a tank for this Sigelei, it's 23mm wide, and even the Hypertank2 (22mm) looks kinda piddly on top of it. The Sigelei is also a total powerhouse, so it needed something that allows adjusting air flow; I had been considering the Aerotank, since it's less costly, but my skepticism of the protanks held me back, plus it's only about 18.3mm wide, not nearly as wide as the Sigelei.

That sale is so good, my husband had no choice but to agree with me, I'd have been crazy to let that go by. So I should have a Nautilus by Wednesday. :thumb:

Maybe that's why I tried it: Having only been here a month I don't know enough not to try. :?: And rebuilding is something I'm not brave enough to do yet.

:D I resisted the rebuilding as long as my own curiosity, procrastination, and poor up-close vision would let me, but once I got all the supplies I needed for it, including a better pair of reading glasses, that ol curiosity made me try it. I guess it's not really that hard, but quite painstaking, considering the small space you have to work with. But I figure, if I can learn to do this with these tiny coils, then later, one of those larger rebuildable atomizers should be a piece of cake. :D But even once I get one of those, I'm sure I'll keep using my T3S's and my vv3's and twist; in fact I have a red ARO purex that's just crying out for a red Smoktech Winder or something along those lines, to match it. ;)
