Hey there :)

I have bougth my self a kanger tech sub mini recently, started just fine, used the 1,5(orginal) coil and 18mg/m1 1.6% Worked fine for a month or two.

then the coil had to be changed, bougth new set of coils, first 1.2 not satisfied with that, then i bougth 1.5 coils, Now i got problem smoking it, to harsh/strong, put's me in to cuffin (like hell). runing it on low wattage now. still a problem. i bougth 10 coils, have tried 3-4 coils now with same result, one friend of mine has the same problem aswell.

What seems to be my problem ? is the tank broke ? need a change of battery ? suitable battery for OCC, do not know if the orginal coil that followed was a OCC.

Do any of ya have some thougths on this :) all help are preciated. Thanks for all answears :)

EDIT: 18:08.. Just tried a new coil from same package, And now it say's 1.7 ohm and it's sweet as hell.

Problem is the version 2 coils. They choke off the juice supply. My Theory...... When new tanks come out the company buys coils for the tanks. They company wants the contract so they make them good. As they sell more tanks to keep up with supply the original coil supplier subs it out to other companies and they still want to make same money and new company wants to make money and the only way to do it is cheapen the materials. I rebuild all stock coils and there is not a single one yet I can not make better than the original. When I tear used coils apart nothing surprises me I see now. Again it is only a guess on my part. CHEERS!

My friend I am just speechless. I am trying to convince myself that there has to be something to it.
You menaged to use an OCC coil one month? It would be a miracle even if you take one drag every day :) Now tell me that you are dragging directly your lungs?
I asume you have primed them before trying. Saturated the cotton before use I mean.

Maybee i used it for a little bit longer not much tho, yeah soaked it, let it sit a while before use. mouth to lung puffs, why would it be strange to use it for so long ? are they supposed to be changed even more often or so ?
I used at 18-23wattage. Started to taste burned after a while...

Yeah, a month on pre-built coils is extremely long life... I can get a month out of a set up on my rig, but they are titanium coils that I made myself on a temperature control device.

But, like Wheelie said, it's pretty hit-and-miss on those coils. You'll get a few good ones and a whole lot of crappy ones... and unfortunately, unless you rebuild them yourself, there isn't much you can do about it.

wow My friend You should get all the absurd tastes after a month I suppose.
Should have changed the coil (The ready ones square types) once every week at the most By the way dont throw away the ones in hand. You can recoil them too. (Pls refer to you tube)
Change to RBA unit. Put cotton through the coil, prime and try with very low watts. (You can find videos in youtube.) When you prepare your own coils have 0.30 mm kenthal wire and 3-4 folds around a 2 mm round object (for examle a drill head)
I use RBA unit and I change cotton every other day. and when I throw the old cotton I burn the wire (By firing it on the mod) to get rid of the gunk on it.

Have you tried setting your tank to the tightest airflow? that could make it more vapeable. The wider the airflow the bigger the clouds. And big clouds mean more nicotine intake. And nicotine makes the throat hit. Since you are vaping 18mg nic that could be the problem. Maybe the AFC moved while changing the coils?

AFC = Air Flow Control
It's not unusual to see slight fluctuations in resistance over time. Especially as the coil gets old and gunky. How is the vape when compared to a new coil? I would expect that you are getting some significant performance loss...

When i used the first coil that come with the mod(subtankmini), it vaped like a dream, Now with the replacement coils it's fine for like 10 puffs, and it starts getting to strong/makes me cuff alot, not able to smoke. its so sad...

What should i do ?
I wonder if i'm just gonna buy my self a new tank.
is there any other tanks with 1.5 ohm, that you know works smooth.

And what juice do you recomend ? strength/mixture...

Do a search for the Aspire Nautilus or the Aspire Nautilus Mini if you want a solid tank that uses replaceable coils.
As for rebuilding, there's quite a bit of stuff that you're going to need. Give me a bit to round up some links and I'll get back to ya on that one...

Is this your first device? If not what did you have before? I know when I went from my aero to the mini I had to cut my nic from 18 to 12 or I was coughing & head rushing! I started vaping in Feb. with an ego twist starter at 24mg & now I'm at 6mg in my Mutation MT! The better your device performs usually the less Nic you need!

Can you link me a website there i can buy the stuff i need for rebuilding the coil ? :)

YouTube subtank mini and go from there. Some say the cotton is too tight in the stock heads so fluffing, removing some or rewicking them with your own cotton could solve some of it. Lots of places to get set up but learning to rebuild is a valuable vape asset.

Also look into building your own coils on the RBA! Do your reaserch! Youtube is a great resource for this! go to channels like;
pbusardo
RiP Trippers
OR TRY HERE
building kangertech rba - YouTube
Buy your wire some place that sell small lengths (15 ft or less) until you find the one you like. It's cheaper in large qtys but you don't want to get stuck with 100' of wire you can't use! Some B&M's will even sell it by the foot! Building your own coils ends being cheaper in the long run even if you make mistakes.
The big thing I did when I was learning was to ASK QUESTIONS & WATCH VIDEOS! Heck a couple of my local B&M's even offer free coiling classes!

Builder's Kit
Kanthal A1 I recommend you get 28g. That should be a good size for your 1.5 ohm target with a single coil. It would take 8/9 wraps around a 2.5mm mandrel to get you to 1.5 ohms.
As for wick material... there is a large selection of material. Cotton, Japanese Cotton, Cotton Bacon, Silica, Rayon, etc... Personally, I use Rayon. I can give you more info on that if you wish. Lightning Vapes has a selection of different cotton wick materials (same place I linked for the builder's kit and wire).
