Kanger Topbox mini tank vs Kanger Subtank Mini V2

Hey guys,

I haven't been in the mod game for a while so I bought a Kanger sub tank mini V2 and a pack of 5 x 0.5ohm coils with the intention to use on my old iTaste MVP 2. A couple of days later I decided to buy the Kanger Topbox mini kit after realizing my MVP2 would not be powerful enough for the Subtank mini V2. Just wondering if the coils for the V2 mini tank are the same as the top box coils? I might just keep the new V2 mini tank as a spare since I have it with coils of they don't fit the top tank mini.

The coils should be compatible. 1.2 and 1.5 ohm coils are also available for the Kanger Subtanks. If it has temperature control on the one you get, make sure to set the correct mode before you put the tank on. It may not automatically switch you out of TC if you use a non TC coil.

Which temp mode do I need to put it on? The reason I was asking if it was compatible is because the Topmini appears to have round coils and the mini tank V2 looks to have squarish coils

Temp mode works for Nickel or Titanium. I'm not sure if it will work with stainless steel. I have the V1 and V2 coils and they work with new and last version tanks. I have and always will love my Subtank Plus and still use it when working on other tanks. The rebuildable deck is the easiest to learn on and once you get it down, you can build on just about anything. Great choice.

The coils are the same and compatible... They went to the circle coils when they changed to the SS outer casing. It was their way of showing that they have a new type of coil make up. SS outer casing with japanese org cotton. Those are the circle ones.
